It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year
My apologies to Andy Williams, but this is the most wonderful time of the NASCAR year - waiting for teams to make their plans for 2009. The only problem is many do not have plans as of yet and that’s really distressing.

Whatever happened to NASCAR?
That’s what our grandchildren will be asking us one day if NASCAR keeps going in the direction it is going now. They will wonder what we ever saw in the sport. They won’t understand what a die-hard fan was.

The Two Towering Morons
Without further adieu’, let’s get back to our story….. One Car to rule them all, One Car driven by them…. One Car to bring them all, and at the racetracks bind them…. Fred Baggins nervously glanced at his rear-view mirror.

Lots of News in the Off Season
It's easy to overlook developments in NASCAR's top series in December and January, but lots of stuff is going on right now and many fans are missing the news. Why? Most are glued to their non-HD televisions watching the National Football League or college basketball, so that's natural. Regardless, it's been interesting this off season.

The Absolutely Worst Sprint Cup Rides Of 2008
They all look so shiny and sleek, in a boxy sort of way, and even speedy. Compared to your own car, they probably are, but not all shiny, sleek, and speedy race cars are created equal. Some are good enough to stay in the Top 35 and get to avoid having to qualify, some do not, and others are victims of the weather than washes qualifying out.

Scary Times for NASCAR
The economic turn of events of the last three months has everyone wondering what is going to happen next. The simple fact that at least 630 jobs have been lost at NASCAR teams is a sobering figure and makes the future look bleak. Couple that with the financial situation that exists for the three American auto makers and you have a disaster waiting to happen.
