Eckrich Team Looks to Use Momentum at Kansas Speedway
Aric Almirola and the No. 43 Eckrich team have shown strength in the last five races, posting four Top-10 finishes and running up front. They look to continue that success this weekend at Kansas Speedway, a track where Almirola has been strong in the past.
Almirola has seven Sprint Cup Series starts at Kansas Speedway. He scored his best finish of eighth in 2013 and 2014 and tallied three Top-10 finishes. He led 69 laps before a tire failure ended his day early in 2012. He made three XFINITY Series starts at the 1.5-mile. In his two Truck Series starts, he scored one Top-10 finish.
Eckrich will adorn the “Petty Blue” No. 43 Ford this weekend for their last of five races this season. They will continue their relationship with Operation Homefront and feature the charity on the quarter panels of the No. 43 Eckrich Ford.
“We tested at Kansas last month and felt like we hit on something to help the speed in our cars. We’ve shown that the last few weeks with really strong race cars and good finishes. We’ve been really good at Kansas in the past, so I’m excited to see how we unload this week. I think this could be a good place for us to compete for a win. That’s our goal. We want to win a race before the season ends, and I think we can fight for that this weekend.
“I’m excited to be partnering with Eckrich once again. It has been an honor to help them honor and thank military families for the last few seasons. Military families sacrifice so much so their loved ones can help keep us safe. To be able to be a small part of helping those families is a huge privilege and something I look forward to every time Eckrich is on the car.”
