Greg Biffle Coca-Cola 600 Notes and Quotes

Biffle on the Coke 600:  “It takes a lot of patience.  It’s such a long race and it requires a totally different mind set.  It’s kind of like two races.  The first half is survival and the second half is making sure the car will handle well into the night and then making you’re way to the front if you’re not already there.  We learned a lot in the All-Star race last weekend and I think we found a few things that will help us out a lot this weekend.  I’m pretty excited about it.  We should have a good run in the 600 and I think this team will continue to progress more and more over the next few weeks.”

Erwin on the Coke 600: “We learned a lot throughout the All-Star race last weekend.  The Coke 600 is obviously a much longer race and that will certainly come into play especially as we race from day into night.  As a team and for Greg as a driver, you just have to be patient and prepared for a long night.  It’s a whole different mindset and plan for adjustability in the car as the track cools off. We were happy with how we ran in the All-Star despite our finish so we just need to do the same thing this weekend with a better result in the end.”
