CHASTAIN CHALLENGES MID-OHIO AGAIN

LEXINGTON, Ohio – Ross Chastain is on the road again this week.

In the second Xfinity Series road course race of the season, Chastain will drive the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller No. 4 Chevrolet in Saturday’s Mid-Ohio Challenge at the twisty Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Chastain finished 18th in the No. 4 car in last year’s Xfinity race at Mid-Ohio.

“I had a pretty good run at Mid-Ohio last year, and we’re looking forward to building on that this year,” Chastain said. “Road racing is fun – something very different for us. I can’t wait to get there and give it another shot.”

Chastain sits 13th – his highest position of the season – in Xfinity driver points. He is only two points out of 12th place and is eyeing a spot in the Xfinity Series’ first Chase playoff.

Practice is scheduled at Mid-Ohio at 9 a.m. and 11:35 a.m. Friday, with qualifying set for 6:15 p.m. Saturday’s race is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
