Brian Scott Returns to Home of First NASCAR Start

Shaw’s, Shore Lodge to Adorn Hood of No. 44 Ford Fusion

Brian Scott and the No. 44 Shaw’s, Shore Lodge team return to the site of Scott’s first NASCAR start this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The team is looking for a top finish in the second annual trip to the 1.0-mile track after a 38th-place finish due to a broken brake caliper at the race in July forced the team to the garage for repairs.

Since his first career start in the Camping World Truck Series in 2007, Scott has three Truck Series starts, two of those finishing in the Top-10. Scott has also made six XFINITY Series starts, starting in the Top-10 in five of those starts and bringing home one Top-Five, two Top-10 and three Top-15 finishes.

Shaw’s Supermarket will return to the hood of the No. 44 Ford Fusion this weekend in New Hampshire. Shaw’s is one of the oldest, continuously operated supermarkets in the United States with New England roots dating back to 1860, when George C. Shaw opened the first store in Portland, Maine. A few years later, Maynard A. Davis opened the first ‘Public Markets’ in New Bedford and Brockton, Massachusetts. Throughout five New England States, there are 154 store locations employing approximately 19,000 people.

Fans will be able to meet Scott at two locations this weekend in New Hampshire.

“I love Loudon. It’s the site of my first-ever NASCAR start in the Camping World Truck Series in 2007. I feel like it was a good track for me in the XFINITY Series, and I’m looking forward to getting back there. We’ve had some bad luck the last few times racing there. In July, a brake caliper broke and we had to head to the garage to fix it. And last year, unfortunately, we were running second and blew an engine in the XFINITY Series, and I felt like we had a car capable of the win. It’s a neat place. I feel like the fans support Loudon. It’s a great area, and it’s nice to be up north at the start of fall to get a little bit of reprieve from the heat. I like going to Loudon and I’m looking forward to seeing what these Sprint Cup cars are like going around the flat one-mile.”
