RWR Toyotas Top-10 on Speed Charts at New Hampshire

Loudon, N.H. (July 15, 2011) – Rusty Wallace Racing teammates Michael Annett and Steve Wallace proved to be two of the ten fastest cars in Nationwide Series final practice at New Hampshire Motor Speedway this afternoon. Annett, the second fastest Toyota of the 43 car pack, rounded out the final practice session seventh on the charts with lap time of 29.765 seconds (127.962 mph). Wallace was tenth fastest posting a 29.814 second lap (127.752 mph).

With the momentum of four top-10 finishes in the last five Nationwide Series events, Annett and Rusty Wallace Racing’s No. 62 Pilot Flying J team are on a steady path to another solid finish this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

“We definitely have some momentum going right now, and today gives us confidence going into tomorrow’s race,” said Annett, “Things are just really starting to click for us. Rick Viers has been a great addition as crew chief for the No. 62 team. I really like his attitude and the way he pulls our group together as a team. All year, our organization has known that we are capable of strong runs week in and week out. Both Steve and I have two fast cars for tomorrow, and our No. 62 program certainly has momentum from our recent streak of top-10s. I’m looking forward to bringing home another deserving finish for Rusty Wallace Racing and Pilot Flying J tomorrow.”

Tomorrow’s New England 200 will be Annett’s 90th career Nationwide Series start on a track where his crew chief Rick Viers achieved his first Nationwide Series win as a crew chief in 1999. For live coverage of Nationwide Series qualifying from New Hampshire Motor Speedway, tune to SPEED at 10:30 a.m. ET tomorrow.
