ELLIOTT SADLER TO DRIVE FOR JOE DENETTE MOTORSPORTS IN SELECT NCWTS RACES

Huntersville, NC (July 26, 2011) – NASCAR Nationwide Series regular and Virginia native, Elliott Sadler, will make his debut for Joe Denette Motorsports behind the wheel of the No. 24 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series events at Bristol Motor Speedway (August) and Martinsville Speedway (November). The No. 24 will be a second entry for Joe Denette Motorsports.

“I’ve known Joe Denette for a few years,” said Sadler. “So when he offered me the opportunity to climb behind the wheel of one of his trucks at Bristol and Martinsville, I jumped on it!”

Over the past five years, Sadler has 16 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) starts where he’s earned one win (Pocono, 2010) after starting on the pole, along with four top-five and eight top-10 finishes. Additionally, Sadler is one of only 22 drivers in NASCAR history to have recorded a win in all three of NASCAR’s elite divisions and is one of only 16 drivers in NASCAR history to have earned a pole award and win in all three of NASCAR’s elite divisions.

“The trucks are a lot of fun to drive,” continued Sadler. “The drivers race every single lap like it’s the last one. I’ve had a chance to run several races this year in the truck series with Kevin Harvick, Inc. (KHI) and feel like I’ve learned a lot about what these trucks need from a drivers standpoint to be able to go fast. Hopefully, we’ll win one of these races for Joe Denette and his partners. It’s a lot of fun to go out and race for the win and not have to worry about points.”

Although Sadler has only one start at Bristol (2010) and one start at Martinsville (2003) in the NCWTS, he is looking forward to making his debut with the rookie team at two of his favorite short tracks.   “Bristol is one of my favorite tracks,” said Sadler. “I’ve won there in a Sprint Cup car and a Nationwide car so it would be really cool to get a win there in the Truck Series as well. Martinsville is in my home state of Virginia so there will be a little added pressure to do well that weekend. Jason (White) has made some big strides in the past few races and I feel like we’ll work well together as teammates.”

A sponsorship announcement for Elliott Sadler and the No. 24 Joe Denette Motorsports entry will be forthcoming in the following weeks.
