Roush Fenway Moves Into Richmond Showdown
After weathering the elements in Atlanta last weekend, Roush Fenway moves into the final race before the 2011 Chase for the Sprint Cup this weekend at Richmond.
Roush Fenway History at Richmond
Overall, Roush Fenway has started 267 races at Richmond in NASCAR action, winning 14 times, while bringing home 77 top-five and 124 top-10 finishes, 13 poles and leading a total of 4,345 laps across all three of NASCAR’s major series.
On the Sprint Cup Side
Roush Fenway has made 165 Cup starts dating back to 1988 at Richmond, winning on four occasions, with the first coming in 1990 and the last in 2005. Current Roush Fenway driver Matt Kenseth won at Richmond in the fall of 2002.

Roush Fenway has won four Cup races at RIR, with three of the four wins coming in the fall. Roush has not won a ‘spring’ race at Richmond since Feb. 25, 1990.

Nationwide Dominance at Richmond
Roush Fenway has won nine times in the Nationwide Series at Richmond. In fact, Roush Fenway won its first two NNS races at Richmond in 1993 and never looked back. All in all, three different drivers have won a total of nine times in NNS action at Richmond, including Carl Edwards who has three wins there. In addition, Roush has 37 top fives and 52 top 10s in NNS racing at RIR.
