Plenty of Fun for Entire Family; Q&A Sessions with Chevy Drivers

DETROIT – Race fans visiting Daytona International Speedway for the season-opening Daytona 500 will have the opportunity to experience the Team Chevy Racing Display, filled with show cars, production vehicles, GM Performance Parts crate engines, parts and accessories, and participate in question-and-answer sessions with NASCAR champions Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon, and Daytona 500 winners Dale Earnhardt Jr., Ryan Newman, Jamie McMurray and Kevin Harvick, and Team Chevy drivers from all of NASCAR’s premier series.

“The Team Chevy Racing Display has something for the entire family,” said Jeff Chew, Marketing Manager, Chevy Racing. “Fans can ask questions of their favorite drivers during one of our several scheduled driver appearances, spend some time with one of our friendly product specialists and learn more about Chevy’s great 2012 vehicle lineup, and compete with other fans on our video race simulators. Also on display are Chevrolet Performance Parts crate engines and an assortment of accessories and performance parts for fans to purchase from their local Chevy dealer. There are NASCAR show cars, a Grand-Am GT Camaro, a Camaro ZL1, a Ricky Carmichael Sonic, and a couple of customized Chevy Sonics, too. We encourage everyone to stop by and see us.”

The Team Chevy Racing Display — where fans can see and learn about Chevrolet vehicles like the Sonic, Eco Cruze, Camaro 45th Anniversary, Camaro Couple, Malibu, Equinox, Volt, Traverse, Tahoe and Silverado Crew – will be located in the Midway, south of International Speedway Blvd., near the main tunnel, and will be open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Thursday, February 23; 9 a.m.-7 p.m. on Friday, February 24; 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, February 25; and 7 a.m.-1 p.m. on Sunday, February 26.

Fans who sign up with Team Chevy will receive a “Team Chevy 35 Manufacturers’ Championships” commemorative t-shirt.

11:15 a.m.         Jeff Gordon, winner of three Daytona 500 races, four-time NSCS champion and driver of the No. 24 Drive to End Hunger Chevrolet

Friday, February 24

10 a.m.             Tony Stewart, three-time and 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion and driver of the No. 14 Mobil 1/Office Depot Chevrolet

12 p.m.             Ty Dillon, driver of the No. 3 Silverado in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and 2011 ARCA champion, and  Austin Dillon, driver of the No. 3 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Nationwide Series and 2011 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion

12:15 p.m.        Ron Hornaday, driver of the No. 9 Silverado and four-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion

5 p.m.               Kasey Kahne, driver of the No. 5 Farmers Insurance Chevrolet
