Jeffery Michael Gordon Wins The 2012 Justice Brothers-Shav Glick Award

WINS THE 2012 JUSTICE BROTHERS- SHAV GLICK AWARD

Jeff was born in 1971 in Vallejo, CA, just a few miles from the speedway in Sonoma, and he started racing quarter midgets at age 5 and sprint cars at 16. At that age he joined USAC, and was their youngest licensed driver. Jeff attended the Buck Baker Driving School at Rockingham Raceway where he moved from open wheel to full body cars. He started racing the Bush Grand National season in 1990, and won his first Bush Series race at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in 1992.

Currently Jeff is racing with Team 24, the Dupont Chevrolet, and is partnered with the AARP “Drive To End Hunger” and Pepsi Max. A quick glimpse at his career reveals 4-NASCAR cup series wins, 85-NASCAR victories, 3rd on the all-time win list, 70-career pole starts, 3-time Daytona winner, 3-time Champion of NEXTEL All-Star Challenge, 7-time winner at Darlington and he holds 9-road course victories. Jeff is also a vintner of fine wines.

Jeff Gordon was nominated and selected by a judging panel, that includes national and California motorsports writers, to receive the prestigious 2012 Justice Brothers-Shav Glick Award. Ed Justice, Jr., President and CEO of Justice Brothers, presented the award during the pre-race ceremonies at the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Auto Club 500, at Fontana Raceway.
