AO Racing Welcomes Back Louis Deletraz for Chevrolet Grand Prix

ST. CHARLES, Ill., (July 2, 2024) – AO Racing heads north of the border for the Chevrolet Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park next week. Louis Deletraz will join his AO Racing teammates in North America for another flight with Spike the LMP2 Dragon, subbing for full-season driver Paul-Loup Chatin. Chatin will be unavailable for the July 12-14 event as he competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship round at Interlagos.

“I’m excited to be at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park with AO Racing,” said Deletraz. “It’s a new track for me, but everyone says good things about it. It’s high-speed, and we’ll be the top class there with no GTP running. It will be nice to have the opportunity to win an overall race in LMP2. I’m really looking forward to it after Le Mans and to sharing the car with PJ and all the crew.”

Deletraz, who races with ORLEN Team AO by TF in the European Le Mans Series also raced with AO by TF in the 24 Hours of Le Mans last month, securing Hyperpole and a second-place finish in the LMP2 Pro Am class. He and PJ Hyett will once again share the wheel of the No. 99 Oreca LMP2 for the two-hour, 40-minute race on July 14th. Three of the five IMSA WeatherTech classes will race in the event, and fans attending will be able to see both Spike and Rexy, the Porsche 911 GT3 Rawr competing.

The Chevrolet Grand Prix begins on Sunday, July 14 at 11:05 AM ET, airing live on Peacock in the USA, and on IMSA’s YouTube page for all fans outside the States.
