SPARTA, Ky. – Kentucky Speedway will comfort race fans attending its June 28-30 NASCAR events by stationing multiple cool zones throughout the facility in addition to stocking extra ice and water with dry, above-average temperatures forecast for the remainder of the week.

“We are taking every measure to ensure our fans enjoy great racing when we take the NASCAR spotlight this weekend,” Kentucky Speedway General Manager Mark Simendinger said.

Speedway campgrounds opened today at noon and the first race team haulers are scheduled to arrive on the Kentucky Speedway infield tomorrow at 11 a.m.

The three-race weekend is anchored by Saturday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) Quaker State 400. Tripleheader action opens Thursday with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) UNOH 225 and continues Friday with the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) Feed The Children 300.

Preliminary entry lists for this weekend’s events include 22 past Kentucky Speedway winners that represent 32 victories at the facility across NSCS, NNS, NCWTS, IndyCar Series (ICS) and ARCA Racing Series (ARS) competition.

Parking lots open at 7 a.m., each race day and fans will be able to enjoy driver appearances along with a wide variety of music, interactive activities, food and shopping in the concourse-level display area as well as the infield Fan Zone throughout the weekend.

The Quaker State 400 race day line-up includes country music superstar Chris Young in concert at 5:15 p.m., on the frontstretch stage and high-energy Bud Light artists LoCash Cowboys in concert at 3 p.m., on the Budweiser stage. Multi-talented stage performer and country music artist Laura Bell Bundy, originally of Lexington, Ky., will sing “The Star Spangled Banner.”
