JAKE GARCIA, No. 98 Quanta Services/Curb Records Ford F-150 – “It was a solid day for our group. We certainly had more speed than what we’ve had pretty much this whole summer. I’m proud of our guys for turning it around a little bit there. Obviously, there’s still a lot we can improve on. I feel like we were a sixth-place truck there at the end. We certainly weren’t any better than any of the guys in front of us, and I don’t feel like anyone behind us was any better than us, so we finished about where we should have. I would have liked to have gotten some more stage points there, but, overall, it was a solid points day. I feel like we probably needed to do a little more to get ourselves in a good position for Loudon, but we’ll go to New Hampshire and give it our best.” YOU’RE AT LEAST WITHIN SHOUTING DISTANCE NEXT WEEK. “Obviously, we have a chance, but we’re gonna have to do everything right at Loudon and those other guys have to make some mistakes. It’s still not entirely in our control. I wish we could control our own destiny here, but we’ll do what we can do and see where it shakes out.”

CHANDLER SMITH, No. 38 QuickTie Ford F-150 – “We had a good enough truck to run in the top 10 for sure, but we couldn’t push the right buttons to get what we needed the truck to do. We pushed one button to fix one thing and that would fix that area, but completely take out balance from the other part of the vehicle. I appreciate the guys and all of their hard work. The guys on pit road today were really, really good, so I’m looking forward to going to New Hampshire. This QuickTie Products Ford F-150 was solid today, but wasn’t what we were looking for.
