BIG WEEKEND FOR JASON WHITE

July 11, 2012. Sun Peaks, BC racer Jason White will be the Hometown favourite for this weekend’s event in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series.  White and his #21 A & W Dodge will be taking the green flag Saturday night at MotoPlex Speedway near Vernon, BC with the support of the majority of race fans and he’s looking for another solid result.

White is coming off his best ever series finish on an oval track in the last event and expects to keep that momentum going in the A & W Cuisin’ the Dub 300 this weekend.  “Our performance this season has been improving at every event” said White.  “The whole gang at DJK Racing has given me a great car every weekend and we’re competing hard each time out” he added.

This weekend’s race will be the 6th visit to the beautiful half mile track for the series and White expects the action to be heated, and to be in the middle of that action.  “This season I’m totally focused on racing” explained White.  “I’m not the car owner, just the driver and that’s allowed me to focus on the racing and I think that’s helping our performance” he stated.

Jason will be joined in the field by his brother Jim White who will pilot the #24 Dodge.  “It’s going to be so exciting to race against Jim” said White.  “He’s a heck of a racer and I’m looking forward to battling with him head to head”.

With A & W as the title sponsor of the event and driving the #21 A & W Dodge White is understandably busy with plenty of activity leading up to the race.  “Everyone within A & W really gets behind this race, we’ve got a lot of media commitments leading up to the race and it’s a lot of fun to talk racing with all the fans” said White.

Jason White and the #21 A & W Dodge team will begin with practice Saturday afternoon followed by qualifying at 5:15PM.  The on track autograph session with the drivers begins at 7PM and the green flag flies for the A & W Cruisin’ the Dub 300 at 8:15PM.
