Biffle on racing at Watkins Glen International:
“I like road course racing. It breaks up the season a little. We’ve had a couple of top-10 finishes at Watkins Glen and I think it’s reasonable to shoot for a top-10 finish this weekend. There are a few drivers in this series who have a lot of road course experience and if I can just hold my own with them and get out of there with a top-10 or top-five finish, I think that would be a reasonable expectation.”
Crew chief Matt Puccia on racing at Watkins Glen International:
“Watkins Glen is like any other road course in that track position and pit strategy are extremely important. Fuel mileage and management of pit stops will likely determine who finishes well and who doesn’t. You need to have a plan in place, but also be able to adjust accordingly depending on where you qualify and where you’re running when it’s time to pit. The Glen is different from Sonoma in that it has faster corners and only a couple of spots that are wide enough for passing. The car has to turn well through the “S” turns to maintain track position and the pit crew has to be on their toes with the “backwards” pit stops. Greg runs well at road courses and I think we have a good a chance as anyone of getting a win this weekend.”
