Good Sam/Camping World To Sponsor Bayne And The Wood Brothers In Three Upcoming Races

The red, yellow, and blue paint scheme of Good Sam/Camping World will return to the Wood Brothers’ No. 21 Ford Fusion next week in the AdvoCare 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. In addition to the Atlanta race, the pairing will also appear at Chicagoland Speedway, the home track for Good Sam/Camping World, on Sept. 16, and at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Oct. 13.

The sponsorship from Good Sam/Camping World has allowed the Wood Brothers and driver Trevor Bayne to significantly increase their schedule this year. At the beginning of the 2012 Sprint Cup season, the defending winners of the sport’s biggest race, the Daytona 500, had a schedule consisting of 12 races for the 2012 season. Following the season opener at Daytona, a phone call was made to Marcus Lemonis, chairman and CEO of Good Sam/Camping World, inquiring if he would be interested in working with the Wood Brothers, a partnership that had already been created from the previous season. Mr. Lemonis accepted the offer and this led to an increase of four additional races, including the Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway back in May.

Team co-owner Eddie Wood said he and his team are proud to be representing Good Sam/Camping World in some of the Sprint Cup Series’ most important races, among them, the Labor Day weekend classic at Atlanta, and the first race of the Chase for the Sprint Cup, at Chicagoland.

“We’re happy to have Good Sam/Camping World back on the car for three of our next four races,” Wood said. “Hopefully our car will continue to have the speed it’s had this season and we can make Mr. Lemonis proud.”
