Jason White Runs Strong At Riverside

September 15, 2012. Antigonish, NS – Jason White and his crew flexed their smart decision-making skills at the Wilson Equipment 300 at the Riverside International Speedway on Saturday.

White and his #21 Bowers & Wilkins Dodge felt great from the start of the weekend with a quick vehicle to work with. White didn’t earn the qualifying position he hoped for, starting 10th, but he easily made the best of it.

#21 quickly moved up in the field, running consistently in the top ten all day.

White ran into a speed bump when he fell down a lap, but the Lucky Dog rule came to his rescue and he scored the free pass during a caution to get back on the lead lap.

The turning point came for #21 and his crew on their decision to pit.

“We decided to do all our service for fuel and four tires at once,” White explained after the race. “It was the right call – the car just came alive.”

White continued to run strong for the duration of the event, although he would have preferred to not have the couple of late cautions.

“Those late cautions didn’t help us, the car was better on the long green flag runs,” he said. “But all in all, a good day.”

White eventually finished in 7th place, up three spots from his 10th place qualifying start.

“Strong day for the Bowers & Wilkins team, we’ll take this momentum to Kawartha,” White said.”

After today’s race, White sits in 8th place overall with 345 points.

Jason White and the #21 Dodge team will compete in the entire 2012 NCATS schedule that will take the team from coast to coast in Canada for the 12 events.  The final race of the season takes place this coming Saturday September 22nd at Kawartha Speedway near Peterborough, ON.  For the latest news about Jason White and the #21 Dodge team check out the team website at www.jasonwhiteracing.com and be sure to follow Jason on twitter for the latest updates @racinjasonwhite  You can get more information about the NCATS series at www.hometracks.nascar.com
