Nashville, TN (September 18, 2012) – GC Motorsports International announced today that JJ Yeley and the no. 27 NASCAR Nationwide Series team have joined forces with the Delaware Office of Highway Safety for the “Drive Sober. Arrive Alive DE” promotion during the NASCAR Nationwide Series Race on Saturday, September 29th at Dover International Speedway.
The Delaware Office of Highway Safety (OHS) is committed to saving lives and preventing injuries on their roadways, especially when it comes to DUI crashes. Throughout the NASCAR race weekend at Dover and with the partnership with GCMI and JJ Yeley, the OHS is reminding fans to make the smart choice when it comes down to race time and to ‘Drive Sober’ or have a Designated Driver before the race starts.
Yeley stated, “I am honored to be teaming with the Delaware Office of Highway Safety and GC Motorsports International. This is a serious issue they are promoting that can save many lives with making a smart decision to not drink and drive or to have a designated driver. I am also looking forward to working with the GCMI team again this year. We had a really good handling car in Las Vegas this year when I drove the no. 27 GCMI Ford. We started mid-pack and quickly moved forward before a mechanical issue forced us out of the race. I am excited to work with Wayne Grubb and the entire team at Dover as I know they will bring another fast car to the track.”
“I really enjoy going to Dover and have had success there in my racing career. I enjoy working with JJ and have high expectations going into the race. We have worked with JJ several times in recent years and he has done a good job for us, so we are all anxious to get back to the track with him,” said Wayne Grubb, crew chief.
