Support Military Foundation to Debut its Colors in Dover

CHARLOTTE, NC (Sept. 24, 2012) The Support Military Foundation will debut its colors and promote its site, Supportmilitary.org, for the OneMain Financial 200 this weekend at Dover International Speedway. Jason Bowles will pilot the No. 81 Dodge for MacDonald Motorsports around Dover’s Monster Mile.

The Support Military Foundation created supportmilitary.org as a social networking site for all military supporters. The main goal of this foundation is to link America to verified organizations that provide needed support to Active Duty, Guard, Reserve, Veterans and their families.

Chaplain, Colonel Steven E. West of the United States Air Force and President of The Support Military Foundation said, “Throughout my military career of 34 plus years, I have met thousands of great people who desire to do more for the military community and I’ve always advised them to connect with a local or national organization serving the armed forces. The problem most people have, is knowing what organizations are really putting their efforts into supporting the military community and who to trust (truth in advertising). The Support Military Foundation was born out of a desire to be a true one-stop protal to involvement without the normal concerns associated with personal priorities.”

The site offers a way to connect a grateful nation through armed forces awareness and personal involvement. Supportmilitary.org provides a launch pad for turning awareness into action for individuals, businesses, non-governmental agencies, community and civic groups, local governments and faith-based organizations in support of our uniformed services past and present.

“This site is a place for everyone, from a mom at home making foot warmers for troops, to businesses that wish to donate to wounded warriors, they can all connect on this site and find out how to be involved,” said Dell Hamilton, Founder and CEO of Crusader Staffing Associates and Support Military Foundation Board Member.

In addition to linking supporters, the Foundation is has created a movement “Behind The Camo” that shows support of all branches of the military. This specially designed camouflage is a blend of all the colors of all branches of the military, showing solidarity and unity in support of all that protect and serve this Country.

“Behind The Camo” products include hats, t-shirts, jackets, polo shirts, ribbons, stickers and wrist bands will soon be available for purchase on supportmilitary.org. Donations to supportmilitary.org and proceeds from sales go to the verified organizations listed on the site to directly support the military communities.
