Grant Enfinger (No. 29 Reese Towpower RAM) Finished 12th “You know we definitely improved the whole time. Doug Randolph made some great calls on pit road. We gave up a little track position at the beginning to gain some in the middle. I made a couple mistakes towards the beginning of the race, had a little bit of bad luck but you know at about midway of the race Doug made some good calls with the truck and it really drove good but by that time, we didn’t have any track position. I feel like we probably had a sixth to eighth-place truck there at the end but getting by those trucks was really, really tough. It seemed like when I chose the high line the low line would move and when I’d choose the low line the high line would move. Overall, it was a solid run but wasn’t as good of a finish as what our RAM was.”

YOU HAD A THREE-WIDE BATTLE FOR POSITION AT THE END OF THE RACE WITH MIGUEL PALUDO AND JASON WHITE. “We were fighting really hard with the 32 truck (Paludo) truck to get by him over the last 10 laps or so and finally I about had him cleared and then the 23 (White) got around me and made it three-wide there. The 23 had to chase it up there and I had to chase it up the hill but it only cost us one spot. Luckily, we brought Brad’s (Keselowski) RAM home in one piece. I can’t say enough about Reese Towpower, Draw-Tite, Cooper Standard and everybody that made this race possible for me. I was definitely very blessed to be able to drive this truck this weekend.”

THE RESTARTS SEEMED PRETTY WILD WITH TRUCKS GOING THREE AND SOMETIMES FOUR-WIDE. WAS IT INTENSE WHERE YOU WERE SITTING? “Oh heck yeah. Wayne (Setterington Jr.) was spotting for me and he warned me yesterday after qualifying how dicey it gets on these restarts. It was something that I haven’t experienced very much. The first turn on the first lap I ended up three or four-wide in the middle but I definitely got better and got more confidence on into the run.

“Doug made the truck a lot better where I could really push it off into the corner. We were really good on entry at the end of the race which is where we struggled yesterday but we may be lacking just a little bit in the center of the corner compared to the top five trucks.”

YOU HAD A CLOSE CALL ON THE FIRST LAP OF THE RACE WHEN TODD BODINE SPUN. “That was real close. I didn’t want to be where I was at but I was afraid to come down because there were so many trucks below me. We kind of lucked out. He was kind of a lazy spin and allowed me to guide it a little bit. All in all, a few mistakes on my part at the beginning of the race but the second half of the race, I just think was dictated by circumstances.”

Doug Randolph (Crew Chief, No. 29 Reese Towpower RAM) “I thought Grant did a great job. It’s tough coming out here not having raced the trucks very much. He did a great job.

“We had a decent truck, had an issue on pit road, just a couple things that kept losing our track position; couldn’t quite hold it. It’s so hard to pass when you lose that track position. It’s just hard to get back up there. Solid night, no big issues, everybody did a great job.”

YOU PITTED FOR TIRES WITH 19 LAPS TO GO. DID YOU THINK THE TIRES WOULD MAKE A BIGGER DIFFERENCE ON THAT LAST RUN? “It just depends on the first lap or two after that restart. I think they would have made a difference if we could have got clear of traffic. We had one guy in front of us that we were definitely faster than and he made it hard for us to get around. That’s just the way it goes, you take that chance. If we hadn’t pitted, we’d have been on the bottom for the restart and when we pitted we got to start on the top. Probably could have been a wash either way. If you clear one or two guys right off the bat in that first lap or two, then I think it would have paid off a little more in the end.”
