Partnership with Teammates: The prominent “Wild Card” race in the final stretch of the 2012 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season will challenge Parker Kligerman and the No. 7 Red Horse Racing team this Saturday at Talladega Superspeedway. Notorious for intense racing down to the wire, superspeedways require focus and skill from the driver’s seat to make it to the last lap with a shot at taking the checkered flag.
The most successful restrictor plate racing strategy as of late involves tandem drafting with one partner. After joining Red Horse Racing in August, Kligerman now has two successful superspeedway racers for teammates in Todd Bodine and Timothy Peters. With each of his teammates scoring wins at superspeedways, Kligerman knows he’ll have solid allies on his side for Saturday’s Coca-Cola 250 presented by Fred’s.
“To be successful at the restrictor plate races, you have to be good at drafting, but more importantly, you have to find a good partner that you can hook up with for the race that works well with your truck. We did that here last year with Todd Bodine, and now that we’re teammates, I think we can continue that good combination and head to the front just like we had before. Plus we have Timothy as an ally as well, so there’s no doubt the Red Horse Racing Toyota Tundras will be up front,” Kligerman explained.
Appearing in Talladega: Parker Kligerman will join his Red Horse Racing teammates Timothy Peters and Todd Bodine at the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series autograph session on Friday, October 5th, from 2:15-3:00 pm underneath the OV Hill South Grandstands. The Red Horse Racing drivers will also make an appearance for the fans at the Honda Generators display in the fan midway on Saturday, October 6, at 1:00 PM.
Previous Race Recap: Parker Kligerman headed to Las Vegas Motor Speedway last weekend for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Smith’s 350 looking to continue his streak of consistent runs at intermediate tracks on the circuit. Showing commanding speed through the first half of the race, a pit road penalty and a brush with the outside retaining wall set Kligerman and the No. 7 Red Horse Racing Tundra back for a 19th place finish.
Chassis History: Parker Kligerman will climb behind the wheel of Red Horse Racing chassis number 140 this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway. This Toyota Tundra rode to victory lane at Daytona International Speedway with John King in February with a push from second place finisher and Red Horse Racing driver Timothy Peters.

How important is it to have a good drafting partner at the restrictor plate tracks?
“It’s huge. The only way you can get to the front and be fast is find someone that you work well with and stick together for the race. You have to prove that you can run well, be fast, and race well with others so you can make friends out there. If you don’t have a drafting partner, you’re not going to make it very far. Sometimes you get broken up from your partner that you’ve had all weekend, and that’s when it’s important for the rest of the field to know that you’ve been fast and utilize them as your help to the finish.”
