Kenseth on racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway:

“We had a really fast car last year at Homestead and we were able to finish fourth. Homestead is one of my favorite tracks on the circuit and it’s a great place to end the season. I think that with the banking they put in a few years ago, Homestead has really become one of the best tracks that we race at. There’s enough banking that we can run side-by-side, and the groove ends up being along the top line. I just think it’s a place that creates great racing, so I’m looking forward to this weekend and would love to get a win for this No. 17 team.”

Crew chief Jimmy Fennig on racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway:

“We’re looking to get a win for Matt (Kenseth) this weekend. Our team is hoping to close out the season and Matt’s time here at Roush doing all we could for him. The car we’re bringing this weekend is our winning car from Kansas and I feel it’s a really good car. We need to make sure that we can get our Best Buy Ford to drive well in the corners, because our car last year at Homestead was fast, but we couldn’t get the handling perfect to win.”

FAST FACTS:

• Kenseth has an average starting position of 19.6 and an average finishing position of 17.6 at Homestead

• Kenseth has achieved one win, three top-five, and five top-10 finishes at Homestead in the Cup series

• Kenseth has completed 2,921 of 3,209 laps (91.0 percent) at Homestead and led for a total of 303 laps

• This weekend at Homestead, Kenseth will pilot the No. 17 Best Buy Ford Fusion

• Entering this weekend, Kenseth is currently sixth in the Sprint Cup Series driver point standings
