Peck Motorsports Encourages Juvenile Arthritis to Get Involved

Peck_NCWTSJA Patient to Design Todd Peck’s 2013 Helmet

Hanover, Penn. (February 5, 2013) – With over 300,000 kids living with juvenile arthritis (JA) today, current NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Todd Peck is hoping to celebrate their continued successes in living with the disease. He will do so by wearing a race helmet in 2013 designed by child with juvenile arthritis. Peck himself lives with arthritis and was diagnosed as a juvenile.

Families of children with JA are encouraged to go to www.peckmotorsports.com to submit their design. Peck will pick a winner and wear that helmet in the races he competes in 2013. The winning helmet designer will also receive the helmet they designed at the conclusion of the race season. In addition, a duplicate helmet will be produced and used to raise funds for the Arthritis Foundation in 2013. The team works with the Foundation to bring additional awareness and funds.

“This was something we thought up to help get the kids more involved in our race program,” said Peck. “We need to continue to celebrate their accomplishments as they live with JA. This will hopefully prove that they continue to do great things. We’re looking forward to seeing the designs that come in.”

Todd Peck started his career driving go-karts. He worked his way up to the national levels in karting before advancing to the Allison Legacy Series. Peck has experience in the Rev-Oil Pro Cup Series, more than 15 starts in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and five starts in the NCWTS. He has done all of this while overcoming the conditions of living with arthritis.
