ADVANCE NOTES

·         Stenhouse at Kansas

o   After leading a career high 26 laps in the STP 400 earlier this year at Kansas Speedway, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. settled for an 11th-place finish after an unlucky caution was displayed one lap after he forfeited the lead for a scheduled green flag pit-stop.

o   Stenhouse Jr. is currently 19th in the driver’s championship point standings.

·         The Car

o   Chassis RK-820 is the same chassis that the No.17 team has raced multiple times this season including the previous Kansas race where they led 26 laps.

o   The backup Chassis RK-827 is the same chassis that Stenhouse drove to a 14th place finish at Charlotte.

·         Ford Ecoboost

o   Delivering up to 20 percent better fuel economy than conventional engines, EcoBoost uses smaller overall size combined with turbocharging and gasoline direct injection to bring customers the power they want and the fuel economy they need.
Stenhouse on Kansas:

“I’m really looking forward to going back to Kansas after our performance there in the spring. We feel that we had the car to beat in the spring race. Kansas is a fast, smooth 1.5-mile track that I like and fits my driving style. I feel confident that we will have a strong performance this weekend at Kansas.”

Scott Graves on Kansas:

“We had one of our strongest races at Kansas earlier this season so we feel confident going into this weekend. We have an extra day of testing which should be beneficial in getting our Ford dialed in for Sunday. I definitely think we could earn our first top-five finish of the season this weekend.”
