KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Mike Wallace might take a look into the past this weekend as he prepares for Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300 Nationwide Series race at Kansas Speedway.

In 2010, driving for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller, Wallace led 10 laps and finished 12th – his best Nationwide Series run in 11 races at the 1.5-mile track.

“Kansas is a track that seems to suit me,” said Wallace, who’ll be in the JD Motorsports No. 01 this weekend. “It’s fast, but it also requires a good-handling car. When you can get the car right, you can move around there pretty quickly. We’re looking forward to making another run at it this week.”

Nationwide practice is scheduled at Kansas at 2:10 p.m. (ET) and 3:40 p.m. Friday. Qualifying is set for noon Saturday, with the race to follow at 3:30 p.m.

After the Kansas race, only four events remain on the Nationwide schedule – races at Charlotte, Texas, Phoenix and Homestead.

THE RACE:  300 miles, 200 laps, race 29 of the Nationwide Series season
