REED SORENSON TO MAKE FIRST NATIONWIDE SERIES START FOR LEAVINE FAMILY RACING

Leavine Family Racing Goes Pink for Charlotte Motor Speedway

CONCORD, N.C. (October 8, 2013)-Leavine Family Racing (LFR) will make its NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) debut on Friday, Oct. 11 in the Dollar General 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway with Reed Sorenson, who will drive the No. 95 Ford Mustang at the 1.5-mile speedway in Concord, N.C.Sorenson hopes to hit the ground running this weekend as the team adds a Nationwide Series car to its NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) garage. The Peachtree City, Ga., native will rely on his ample experience at the track to guide the team. He will be making his 15th Nationwide start at Charlotte in Friday’s Dollar General 300.

He has a career-best finish of fifth (2005 and 2011) at Charlotte, and has an average finish of 21.4. He also has 10 starts in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at the 1.5-mile speedway, including a fourth place finish.

“It’s a thrill to be the first driver for Leavine Family Racing to appear in a Nationwide Series event,” Sorenson said. “I know how important this racing program is to everyone at LFR. It’s our goal to create a solid foundation that can serve this team for years to come.”

The No. 95 Leavine Family Racing Ford will carry a special paint scheme this week at Charlotte, with a special pink-dominated makeover during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

As well, Jetset Getset (JSGS), a teenage country music group, will adorn Sorenson’s No. 95 Ford as an associate sponsor status on the car’s quarter panels.

The third-year team is a Concord, N.C.-based organization with headquarters in Tyler, Texas. Crew chief Wally Rogers will be atop the pit box for the team’s two-race Nationwide schedule this season.
