Bliss Getting a Shot of Energy to Take on the Desert

Mooresville, N.C. (November 6, 2013) – Saturday’s ServiceMaster 200 at Phoenix International Raceway will mark Mike Bliss’ 17th NASCAR Nationwide Series start at the low banked tri-oval in Avondale, Arizona. Bliss has earned four top-10 finishes in the Nationwide Series at the 1-mile track in the Valley of the Sun. His best Nationwide Series finish at

Phoenix came in 2008 when he placed sixth.  Bliss also scored a win at Phoenix while driving in the Camping World Truck Series in 1998. Among his NASCAR stats, Bliss has also won numerous open wheel events in the desert.

For the second weekend in a row, Bliss will pilot the No. 19 Tweaker Energy Shot Toyota Camry for TriStar Motorsports.

 

This weekend’s Toyota Camry:

Chassis No. 6 has been at rest since last scoring an 18th place finish at Richmond International Raceway in September.

What advice would you give to a rookie racing at Phoenix for the first time?

“I’d probably tell them to not over think the corners and concentrate on getting back on the gas. Phoenix is nothing like any other track we race at.”
