The Canadian Racing Season Begins February 7, 8, & 9, 2014 at Toronto’s International Centre
(TORONTO, ON // JANUARY 15, 2014) A fixture in virtually every repair and fabrication shop around the world, Lincoln Electric has also become a regular participant at the Canadian Motorsports Expo.
That tradition will continue this year as Lincoln Electric returns, bringing a full product line of welders and welding accessories, as well as a trio of company-supported racing vehicles.
“The Canadian Motorsports Expo is geared to people who are our target demographic,” explains Bruce Clark, Director of Marketing and Export Sales. “We’re a NASCAR Performance Partner and an NHRA contingency sponsor. We’re also the official welder of several top NHRA teams, including John Force Racing and Don Schumacher Racing. As well, Lincoln Electric is the official welder of IndyCar – every team in the series uses Lincoln Welders – and the World of Outlaws. Anybody who’s into racing, hot-rodding or car building knows, and uses, our products.”
The 8th Annual Canadian Motorsports Expo Powered by Inside Track Motorsport News runs February 7, 8 & 9 at Toronto’s International Centre, adjacent to Pearson International Airport.
Clark adds, “But we also cater to hobbyists – men and women working in their own garages – with our products available at many Canadian retailers, such as Canadian Tire, Lowe’s and Home Depot.”
Exemplifying their support of the local motorsports community, this year Lincoln Electric will share its CME booth with cars representing a variety of racing disciplines.
Featured in the Lincoln Electric display during the three-day show will be Gary Elliott’s new #36 OSCAAR Open-Wheeled Modified; the Soldier-On Monte Carlo (#31 car, at right) driven by 2013 Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup Rookie of the Year Johnathan Schwemler; and from the karting ranks, the Racing for Autism kart that carried 14-year-old Austin Riley to three Junior Rotax championships.
From the most sophisticated, professional fabricator to the shade-tree mechanic, Lincoln Electric has the ‘proper tool to do the proper job.’
Lincoln Electric continues its steady pace of industry-leading product introductions, welding solutions and accessories to the market in an effort to help the end-user customers become as productive and successful as possible.
