Ingersoll Rand Partners with Swan Racing for 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Season

Company to provide pneumatic tools in garage and pit areas

Statesville, NC—January 30, 2014—Swan Racing announced today that it has signed a partnership deal with Ingersoll Rand, the maker of innovative tools and equipment, to be an associate sponsor on the No. 26 and No. 30 Toyota Camrys for the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season. Specifically, the company will provide cordless and compressed air tools to be used in the garage and pit areas for both teams.

“Ingersoll Rand’s tools and equipment will have a direct and positive impact on Swan Racing’s performance on the track each week,” said team owner Brandon Davis.

“This is the kind of partner who is helping us to be a better team and to compete against the best drivers in the world.” Ingersoll Rand’s specialty racing tools have been a familiar sight in NASCAR garages from the beginning. NASCAR pit stops were revolutionized in 1960 with the introduction of the Ingersoll Rand 405 and then again in 1972 when the company added the twin hammer impact mechanism as it became the best-selling impact wrench of all time.

Today, nearly every pit crew on the NASCAR circuit relies on the Ingersoll Rand ThunderGun™ for quick tire changes. As a sponsor, Ingersoll Rand has been active in the NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series since 2012. The company’s partnership with Swan Racing marks its first move to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Ingersoll Rand now has sponsor relationships with all of NASCAR’s national series along with a partnership in ARCA.

“Ingersoll Rand is very proud to expand its official presence into the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series,” said John Evans, President of Power Tools at Ingersoll Rand. “We are looking forward to seeing Cole Whitt and Parker Kligerman compete on the sport’s biggest stage and compete for the NASCAR Rookie of the Year title.”
