GAFFNEY, S.C. – With only a few days remaining to the season opener, driver Landon Cassill and the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller team are in the final stages of preparations for the 2014 NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule.
Cassill, a former Nationwide Rookie of the Year, will race this season with sponsorship from Minnesota-based G&K Services.
The season is scheduled to begin Saturday with the DRIVE4COPD 300 at Daytona International Speedway.
“We’ve got a good car set up for Daytona, and we’re ready to roll,” said Cassill, returning for another season with JD Motorsports. “We learned a lot last year, and I think we can make some steps forward this season. We’re happy to have G&K Services along for the ride.”
Team owner Johnny Davis expressed optimism about the new season. “We have a fantastic partnership with G&K Services and are pleased to have them return as a key sponsor for the fifth consecutive year,” Davis said. “We’re looking forward to seeing the progress Landon makes in the No. 01 G&K Services Chevrolet.”
Cassill plans to run the full Nationwide and Sprint Cup schedules this year.
