Darlington, SC (March 11, 2011)– Former NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) Champion Mike Skinner will not be behind the wheel this weekend at Darlington Raceway for the “Too Tough to Tame 200”, but will be involved in the NCWTS action in a different role. Offering advice and a watchful eye during on-track action, Skinner will assume the role of spotter for MAKE Motorsports driver TJ Bell and the No. 50 Liberty Tire Recycling/Pinnacle Rubber Mulch Chevy.
“Mike Skinner is a great asset to me and to this team this weekend and brings a lot of knowledge and experience to the plate,” Bell commented. “No matter what form of racing you’re engaged in, you’re always learning. With Mike on top of the spotter’s stand he’ll be able to help me with the truck’s handling and give me advice throughout the event, which I’m really looking forward to.”
Mike Cheek, veteran of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, will also be an addition to the MAKE Motorsports roster as he assumes the role of crew chief.
