Leavine Family Racing’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series History at Charlotte Motor Speedway … Team owner Bob Leavine has five starts at the Concord, N.C., facility between three drivers. The Concord, N.C.-based organization finished 43rd a year ago in the Coca-Cola 600.

LFR’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series History … Since entering the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in 2011, the Concord, N.C.-based organization has logged 45 starts, which includes one top-10 finish, an average starting position of 32.9, and an average finishing position of 36.5.

No. 95 JPO Absorbents Ford Fusion

This Week’s Leavine Family Racing Ford Fusion at Charlotte Motor Speedway … Michael McDowell will pilot Chassis No. PRS-847 in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. McDowell last drove this Wally Rogers-prepared Ford Fusion to a 30th-place finish, qualifying 28th, at Texas Motor Speedway on April 7. The chassis also has history at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway finishing 43rd.

McDowell in “The Queen City” … This weekend marks McDowell’s second Charlotte Motor Speedway appearance with Leavine Family Racing; the Glendale, Ariz., driver has made nine other NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at the 1.5-mile track. McDowell first drove for Leavine Family Racing at last season’s Sprint All-Star race. He earned a career-best 31st-place finish at the track in October 2012. As well, in four NASCAR Nationwide Series starts at the track, he finished a 20th in May 2009 and 2010.

The No. 95 JPO Absorbents Ford Fusion will don a special patriotic paint scheme for Sunday’s 600-mile event at Charlotte Motor Speedway in honor of Memorial Day.

Speedway Children’s Charities … The Charlotte Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities, Charlotte Motor Speedway and Leavine Family Racing have teamed up to put together a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity by auctioning off a unique race experience package to fans. McDowell will host Kirk and Danielle Davis.
