Armstrong Looks For Strong Showing In Front of NASCAR’s Home Crowd

Fresh From Florida Returns to the No. 43 Ford Mustang

The Holiday race weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway is one of the most anticipated weekends of the year for race teams. It’s a chance for team members to share the sport they love with family and friends, and this weekend will be no different.

While Dakoda Armstrong is originally a native of Indiana, he currently resides in Charlotte and understands how special this weekend is to many of his teammates. With his previous experience at the track and the gains the team made at a test in Nashville a few weeks ago, Armstrong is optimistic for a strong showing this weekend.

Armstrong has three starts at the mile-and-a-half track in NASCAR series. In his two starts at Charlotte in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, he has two top-15 finishes. His best finish of 12th came in the 2013 truck race. His sole Nationwide start ended early due to a crash late in the race, resulting in a 31st-place finish.

With one prior @NASCAR Nationwide start at @Charlotte Motor Speedway, @Dakoda Armstrong looks for a strong showing in front of NASCAR’s home crowd with @Fresh From Florida on board.

“We have to get better at our mile-and-a-half program, and we’re making some gains. Our test at Nashville a few weeks ago helped us to get some things dialed in, and we’ll be able to use a lot of that information this weekend. This is one of the tracks where I actually raced a Nationwide car before. I feel that I did pretty well there until I got caught in a wreck at the end. We were in the top-10 and had just pitted to get our last set of tires when everyone else already had taken their last set, so we were sitting pretty good before the wreck on the restart.

“Charlotte is always a really fun race weekend. It’s really cool to see everyone bring their families to the track and see how proud their families are of them. Also, we have Fresh From Florida back on the car this weekend. Most people think of Memorial Day weekend as the start of summer, so it’s fitting for us to kick-off the summer with a sponsor like Fresh From Florida.”
