Jeremy Clements Racing Announces Indiegogo Crowdfunding Campaign to Support NASCAR Driver

Spartanburg, SC–  NASCAR Nationwide Series team Jeremy Clements Racing (JCR) announced today the launch of “Help Jeremy Clements Achieve Greatness”, an Indiegogo Crowdfunding Campaign to support Clements’ continued success in the Nationwide series and his effort to reach the Sprint Cup series.

For this small, family owned team, “underfunded” is the norm, so they have to be creative and think out-of-the-box in order to raise the funds necessary to succeed in NASCAR. Clements is currently the only NASCAR Nationwide Series driver using Indiegogo to fund his racing efforts.

“Small teams like us, without full sponsorship, are at a disadvantage against the larger teams,” shared Clements. “Fans contact us all the time, asking what they can do to help. This crowdfunding campaign will give them the opportunity to support us as a big group and help us to buy engine parts and new sticker tires that will allow us to be more competitive week-to-week.”

Despite the fact that his team operates with about 75% less funding than the bigger teams, Clements has experienced tremendous success this season. He has driven the No. 51 Chevrolet to 2 top 10 finishes, as well as qualified for the Nationwide Series Dash4Cash program with his finish in July at Daytona International Speedway, all on a budget significantly less than what they had last year. Clements currently sits in 14th place in the driver point standings.

JCR is seeking to raise a minimum of $50,000 through the Indiegogo campaign, scheduled to launch on Saturday, July 26, 2014. Perks for donors range from Twitter messages from Jeremy Clements to pit passes and advertising on the No. 51 Chevy.

After the Saturday morning launch, full details of the campaign, including video and pictures, will be live at http://igg.me/at/jcr.
