Andrew Gresel Keeps Winning Streak Alive At Midas Of Orangeville 50

What won the race: #07 Todd Campbell lead the field to green and lead for the first seven laps of the feature. Defending event winner #81 of Andrew Gresel took command of the fifty lap event on lap eight and went on to pick up the feature win. #22 of Glenn Watson post a couple of late race challenges but could not complete the pass and settled for second place when the checker flag waved. #17 of Kevin Cornelius was looking for his third feature win in a row but after contact with the back straight wall the handling of the car was a little off. Kevin held on for a third place finish beating the #10 of Jesse Kennedy and #54 of Mike Beyore rounding out the top five.
Bad Luck of the event: #16 of Robert Bickle made the long haul to Sauble Speedway only to suffer brake issues ending their race early in thirteenth place finish. #45 Rob Poole suffered a cut rear tire causing the car to spin in turn two. The ensuing damage ended their day early with a eleventh place finish,
Rookie Battle: Three rookie of the year candidates were in attendance this weekend at Sauble. At the end of the Midas 50, #b10 Kelly Balson was the top placing rookie, followed by Dave Doucette and Scott Field. Corey Jones was not in attendance has he married his loving bride Melissa Mota on Saturday.
