Andrew Gressel Continues Streak With Back To Back Feature Wins

Location: Peterborough Speedway August 2, 2014
What won the race: #10 Jesse Kennedy and #51 Dave Taylor would lead the field to green. Kennedy pulled out to an early lead until lap lap twenty when #17 Kevin Cornelius would power by. The #17 looked set to pick up another feature win until mechanical issues slowed Cornelius coming out of turn 2 on lap thirty six. For the second time this season a power steering line issue would end the chance of victory. Andrew Gressel had worked his way up to second place and assumed the lead on lap thirty seven. Andrew Gressell would go unchallenged for the next thirteen laps and pick up his second feature win in as many weeks. Jesse Kennedy was able to hold off the hard charging Glenn Watson for second. John Owen in the familiar red #2 came home fourth with Rob Poole and his #45 holding off a late charge from #42 Tyler Hawn for fifth
Bad Luck of the event: #54 Mike Beyore suffered mechanical issues in practice forcing the team to return to the shop for parts to make the repair. #16 Robert Bickle again suffered mechanical problems ending the Bickle Farms sponsored ride early in the feature event. #27 Roy Passer also had his night end early as he pulled the car pit side. Making their first ever OSCAAR start #5 Ron Hollis did not have the debut they were hoping for as the car never came up to speed
Rookie Battle: Home town favorite #B10 Kelly Balson was the top finishing rookie with a seventh place finish in the feature. Dave Doucette making his first start in a super late model at Peterborough finished his night in eleventh.
