CASSILL STAYS STRONG AT CHICAGOLAND

JOLIET, Ill. – Landon Cassill finished 16th Saturday in the Jimmy John’s Freaky Fast 300 Nationwide Series race at Chicagoland Speedway, continuing his strong summer run.

Over the past 10 Nationwide races, Cassill has finished in the top 16 seven times.

“We’re still rolling,” Cassill said. “We like to get in the top 15…missed it by a spot today, but it’s another strong run and a finish on the lead lap. It was a good day.”

Cassill drove the G&K Services Chevrolet fielded by JD Motorsports with Gary Keller.

Kevin Harvick won the race, leading 43 of the 200 laps. Chase Elliott finished 10th and kept the point lead.

The series moves on to Kentucky Speedway for a Sept. 20 race. Seven races remain on the Nationwide schedule.
