- Brendan Gaughan won the VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300, recording his second career NASCAR Nationwide Series victory, and his second of the season.
- Brain Scott, Ty Dillon and Cale Conley finished second, third, and sixth, respectfully.
- Ty Dillon qualified on the pole for the VistMyrtleBeach.com 300 and was the highest qualifying Richard Childress Racing entry at Kentucky Speedway. Brendan Gaughan, Cale Conley and Brian Scott qualified third, fourth and fifth, respectfully.
- RCR recorded a 1-2-3 finish for the first time since the 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
- Ty Dillon currently leads the RCR drivers in the Nationwide Series driver point standings in third, Brian Scott is fourth and Brendan Gaughan eighth.

Brian Scott Earns a Hard Fought Second Place Finish at Kentucky Speedway
Brian Scott and the No. 2 Shore Lodge Chevrolet team topped off their weekend at Kentucky Speedway with a second-place finish in the VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300. After being fast in both practice sessions on Friday, Scott backed it up with a fifth-place qualifying effort on Saturday afternoon. Once the 200-lap race started, Scott solidified himself in the top-five running in third place until a lap-67 caution. On the pit stop, crew chief Phil Gould called for fuel, four tires and a track bar adjustment to alleviate the loose-handling condition Scott was experiencing. That kept him in the top-five running positions through a major portion of the race. A caution on lap 169 allowed Gould to bring Scott down pit road for their last stop of the race. Driver and crew chief agreed to take four tires, fuel and some minor adjustments. This placed them sixth for the lap 174 restart. Through several more cautions, Scott vaulted from sixth to fourth to second, where he would ultimately finish. This moved the team to fourth in the driver’s championship points standings, as well.

Ty Dillon Finishes Third Under Lights at Kentucky Speedway
Ty Dillon drove Richard Childress Racing’s No. 3 Bass Pro Shops/TRACKER Boats Chevrolet Camaro to a third-place finish Saturday night, recording the team’s fifth top-five finish of the season. Earlier in the afternoon, Dillon won his second-career NASCAR Nationwide Series pole award. He led the field to the green flag and would go on to lead 155 of the 200 laps. For a majority of the race, Dillon radioed to crew chief Danny Stockman that his No. 3 Camaro was handling well and had a great balance through the corners. The 22-year-old driver was dominant in the middle part of the 200-lap race – at one point he had a 6.5 second lead over second place – and his pit crew kept him in the lead winning the race off pit road on four of the team’s pit stops. Dillon was tested on restarts in the final 20 laps. He competed with teammates Brian Scott and Brendan Gaughan on the race’s final green-flag restart on lap 193, and came up short of a victory. The No. 3 Bass Pro Shops driver crossed the finish line third, giving RCR a 1-2-3 finish. He was the first Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender to finish and remains third in the driver point standings with six races remaining.

Cale Conley Earns a Career Best Sixth-Place Finish at Kentucky Speedway
Cale Conley and the No. 33 IAVA team earned a career best sixth-place finish Saturday evening under the lights at Kentucky Speedway. In his ninth NASCAR Nationwide Series start Conley started the 300-mile event from the fourth spot, his best qualifying effort to date, and batted a slight tight-handling condition early in the event. The caution flag flew on lap 23, which allowed crew chief Nick Harrison to bring Conley to pit road for two right side tires and fuel. Conley restarted fourth when green-flag racing resumed on lap 29 and never fell out of the top 10. The Vienna, W.Va-native battled hard with Series veterans to remain inside the top 10. Under each ensuing caution, the No. 33 team continued to work on the handling of their Chevrolet Camaro. As the laps wound down, Conley battled for every spot to cross the finish line in the sixth position and claim his first career top-10 finish.

Brendan Gaughan Races his way to Second Victory of the Season at Kentucky Speedway
Brendan Gaughan and the No. 62 Richard Childress Racing team brought home their second Sunoco checkered flag of the 2014 NASCAR Nationwide Series season Saturday night at Kentucky Speedway. After qualifying third for the VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300, Gaughan showed the horsepower of his RCR-prepared Chevrolet and jumped to the lead on lap 10. When a caution fell on lap 23, the Las Vegas-native reported the handling of his Camaro was loose in the center of the turns. The Shane Wilson-led team elected to take four Goodyear tires and Sunoco fuel only, pushing them back to 12th on the restart. Gaughan fought to make up track position and by lap 100, had returned to the top five. During the final pit stop for the Protect the Harvest Chevrolet on lap 115, Shane Wilson made the call for four fresh Goodyear tires. This pit road decision ultimately gave the No. 62 team the upper hand in the final laps of the VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300. On the final restart, with only seven laps remaining, the 39-year-old RCR driver slipped by teammate Sunoco Rookie Contenders Ty Dillon and Chase Elliott. That maneuver put Gaughan in the lead, where he remained for the final laps giving him his second-career Nationwide Series win. Gaughan is eighth in the driver point standings as the series heads to Dover International Speedway.
