Clint Bowyer No. 15 Pink Lemonade 5-hour ENERGY to Benefit Living Beyond Breast Cancer Toyota Talladega II Preview

PINK PRESENT

CORNELIUS, N.C. — The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series travels to Talladega Superspeedway, the site of multiple wins for Michael Waltrip Racing driver Clint Bowyer (October 2011 and October 2010).

Those wins came amongst an impressive run of finishes at the 2.66-mile superspeedway. Since 2010, Bowyer has finished outside the top-10 only twice, in October 2012 when he was involved in a crash and finished 23rd and May 2013 when he finished 18th.

With a special pink bow on the hood of Bowyer’s No. 15 Pink Lemonade 5-hour ENERGY to Benefit Living Beyond Breast Cancer Toyota, nothing would be better than for Bowyer to provide a present for that special bow– a visit to victory lane.

Talk about going to Talladega:

“Well you never know what’s going to happen there. That’s what makes it so exciting. It almost always comes down to the last corner on the last lap. That’s why it’s so fun to watch. It’s going to be the same this weekend. We were good there earlier this year. It sure would be nice, with the luck we’ve been having lately, to get this special pink 5-hour ENERGY Toyota in victory lane.”

CHASSIS

Chassis No. 811 serves as the primary chassis for Bowyer at Talladega. This chassis raced at Daytona in July where Bowyer finished ninth. Chassis No. 754 serves as the backup. Bowyer finished third at Talladega in May with this chassis.

LIVING BEYOND BREAST CANCER

Now through the end of the year, five cents from the sale of every bottle of a limited edition, specially marked pink lemonade flavor of 5-hour ENERGY will go to Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC).

Bowyer debuted the special paint scheme in conjunction with the program in Kansas and sported the scheme again last weekend at Charlotte. The name of someone currently battling or who has survived breast cancer has been featured above the right side window for those races. This week, Debbi Wood, who has battled the disease twice, will be featured.

LBBC’s mission is to provide trusted information and a community of support to individuals affected by breast cancer, their families, caregivers and medical professionals.

In 2013, the program with 5-hour ENERGY significantly impacted the organization’s ability to expand the scope of their services and provide thousands of individuals with free educational resources and support services.

CLINT  BOWYER– CHAMPION TEAM OWNER?

Saturday night Clint Bowyer could become a championship team owner for the first time. The Dirt Track World Championship takes place in Portsmouth, Ohio. And Clint Bowyer Racing’s Don O’Neal, driver of No. 5 Peak/Crawford Supply Barry Wright race car, is currently leading the Lucas Oil Late Models Series standings by 75 points.

O’Neal is batting  three-time and defending series champion Jimmy Owens for the title. If O’Neal is able to hold onto the points lead at the conclusion of Saturday’s season points finale, it would be the first championship for O’Neal and Clint Bowyer Racing.
