No. 31 Wolfpack Rentals Chevrolet News and Notes

• Justin Allgaier Heads to Nashville Superspeedway Second in Points… Allgaier moved into second place in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) championship point standings after a hard-fought seventh-place finish at Talladega Superspeedway. The Riverton, Ill-native sits two points out of first, just behind leader and Turner Motorsports teammate Jason Leffler. All three championship contending Turner Motorsports drivers are currently in the top-five, with Leffler leading and Reed Sorenson in fifth-place.

• Nashville Superspeedway by the Numbers… The 24-year-old Wolfpack Rentals Chevy driver has four starts at Nashville Superspeedway. He is credited with one pole, two top-five and two top-10 finishes. He has an average starting spot of 9.2, scoring his highest finish of fourth in both events last season. In his last visit to Nashville Superspeedway, Allgaier started on the pole, led 58 laps and went on to finish in the fourth position.

• This Week’s Impala… The No. 31 Wolfpack team will hit the track with chassis TMS-125 this weekend at Nashville Superspeedway. This is a brand new chassis for the Turner Motorsports team.

• Got My First Real Six String… In hopes of bringing home the custom Gibson guitar trophy on Saturday afternoon, Allgaier and his Turner Motorsports teammates will take a private tour of the Gibson Guitar Factory in Nashville on Thursday afternoon. The home of Gibson electric guitars, ‘Gibson USA’ was built in ‘Music City’ in 1974.

Justin Allgaier on Nashville Superspeedway

“Nashville is one of my favorite race tracks on the circuit. It’s a very tight-cornered track with long straightaways that require a loose-handling race car, but also requires a lot of patience on the driver’s part to succeed. Jimmy Elledge (crew chief) and I have been talking strategy, as this race is an important one because it’s our first stand-alone Nationwide Series event and points are going to be at a premium.”
