JGL Racing Tabs Timmy Hill to Pilot No. 26 Toyota in Daytona

MOORESVILLE, NC (July 1, 2015) – JGL Racing announced today that Timmy Hill will pilot the team’s No. 26 Toyota this Saturday night for the NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Daytona International Speedway.  The 2011 NASCAR XFINITY Series Rookie of the Year joins the rising JGL Racing organization for the running of the Subway Firecracker 250 at the “World Center of Racing”.

“I really appreciate this opportunity given to me by everyone at JGL Racing,” said Hill.  “I have had some good success at Daytona my last few times there in the NASCAR XFINITY Series.  I have been super impressed with the entire JGL Racing organization since the first time I walked into their race shop.  They put together great cars and I can honestly say this No. 26 Toyota they are bringing to Daytona is a very nice piece.  It will be the best car I have ever driven at Daytona and I have high expectations as I am heading there with my sights set on winning the race.”

Hill will be making his 117th career start in NASCAR’s top three series.  The Subway Firecracker 250 will mark his 76th career start in the NASCAR XFINITY Series.  In three previous NASCAR XFINITY Series starts at Daytona, the 22-year old driver has collected two top-10 finishes.

The No. 26 team will be led by crew chief Kenny Evans.  Last race out, the Evans led No. 26 Toyota came home with a 23rd-place finish at Chicagoland Speedway with driver TJ Bell.

“We are excited to have Timmy Hill join the JGL Racing organization for this week’s event at Daytona,” added James Whitener, owner of JGL Racing.  “We continue to grow and build this race team. It is our focus to continue that growth and look for young talented racers who can be an asset to our on track efforts.  Timmy Hill is one of those young racers who has shown great promise and it is exciting to see what he can do this week in our No. 26 Toyota.”

The running of the Subway Firecracker 250 will be Saturday July 4th and can be seen LIVE on NBC Sports Network at 7:30 pm ET.  It can also be heard on Motor Racing Network (MRN) and Sirius Channel 90.
