CASSILL VETERAN AT KENTUCKY

SPARTA, Ky. – Landon Cassill knows his way around Kentucky Speedway.

Friday night’s Kentucky 300 Xfinity Series race at the 1.5-mile track will be Cassill’s ninth at Kentucky. He has run four Sprint Cup and four Xfinity races on the Sparta course.

“I feel like I know every bump now,” Cassill said. “It’s a tough track to get around at speed, but that makes it fun. It’s one of the more challenging places we race.”

Cassill will drive the G&K Services No. 01 Chevrolet for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller in Friday’s race.

Cassill is 17th in Xfinity points despite having missed one race this year.

Practice sessions are scheduled at Kentucky at 2 and 4 p.m. (ET) Thursday. Friday’s qualifying is set for 3:45 p.m., and the race will get the green flag at 7:30 p.m.
