Talladega Recap: Denny Hamlin finished 31st in Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway after a being involved in multi-car accident with just 28 laps left in the race won by Brad Keselowski.

On Wednesday, AJ Allmendinger and JTG Daugherty Racing’s family of brands revealed their Darlington Raceway Bojangles' Southern 500 throwback paint scheme, raced by Topeka, Kan.-native Bruce Hill in the 1970s (1974-1977). The throwback No. 47 Kroger/Kingsford Chevrolet SS maintains its continuity with the red, white and blue theme.

KANSAS STATS: While Dale Earnhardt Jr. has yet to win a race at Kansas Speedway, he has earned solid stats at the 1.5-mile track. The driver of the No. 88 Axalta/CARSTAR Chevrolet SS has one pole (2002) at the speedway, and scored a third-place finish in the spring race last year.
Aric Almirola will return to Kansas Speedway piloting the No. 43 Smithfield Ford in the Go Bowling 400. This will be the series' fifth visit to an intermediate track of the 2016 season. Richard Petty Motorsports has placed an important focus on developing the intermediate track program. With varied results at intermediate tracks so far this year, Almirola is looking for a consistent and strong run to revitalize what has been a rocky season for the team thus far.
After a wreck-filled race in Talladega, Brian Scott and the No. 44 GoBowling.com team are powering through to a track familiar to Scott in the Sprint Cup Series, Kansas Speedway. Scott has experience racing at the 1.5-mile track in the Sprint Cup Series, XFINITY Series and Camping World Truck Series and is looking forward to racing with a new partner in GoBowling.com, who is also the race sponsor for this weekend's GoBowling.com 400.
