Roush Fenway Racing (RFR) is partnering with Cargill Ground Beef and Homes for Our Troops to take a specially designed No. 6 NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) car to Kentucky Speedway with two goals: raising money to build homes for severely injured military veterans, and winning Friday’s race on their behalf.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) made a trip to the twist and turns of Sonoma Raceway for the first of just two road-course races on the 2013 schedule. Jamie McMurray and the Cessna team captured the pole for the Toyota/SaveMart 350 and raced among the leaders for most of the race until a flat tire on lap 74 of 110 eliminated the team from contention. McMurray would finish the race in the 25th position.

Ambrose Brings Mac Tools Colors Back to Kentucky

Looking for his first oval win, Marcos Ambrose hopes it comes this weekend at the 1.5-mile Kentucky Speedway in Sparta. Doing so, the win will also come with the colors and logo of Mac Tools on the Richard Petty Motorsports No.9 Ford Fusion. This is the second time that the Mac Tools colors have been with Ambrose this year.
