AJ Allmendinger Quote
“This is where it all began. The relationship and the love between Kaulig Racing and myself. This was my first race last year – the Daytona summer race with Ross Chastain and Justin Haley. We were able to push [Ross] to the win. It was the first ever win for Kaulig Racing. We got a win for Justin Haley this year at Talladega. We’ve got three fast Kaulig Chevys. We are going to be on a mission to go to the front and dominate this race again. I’m ready! We’re going to the front and staying there. Trophy hunting on Friday night!”

Toyota Racing – Weekly Preview – 08.26.20

This Week in Motorsports: August 24-30, 2020
· NCS/NXS: Daytona International Speedway – August 28-29
· NGROTS/ARCA: World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway – August 29-30

PLANO, Texas (August 26, 2020) – It’s the final regular season race for the NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) as drivers battle for spots in the Playoffs on the high banks in Daytona. The NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) will join them, while the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Trucks Series (NGROTS) and ARCA Menards Series race in St. Louis.

NASCAR National Series – NCS| NXS| NGROTS

300 for the Camry… With Denny Hamlin’s sixth victory of the season at Dover International Speedway on Sunday, Toyota is closing in on 300 victories for the Toyota Camry in NASCAR. Hamlin’s victory was the 150th Camry win in the NCS. Toyota also campaigned the Camry in the NXS from 2007-2018, earning 149 victories.

Hamlin Strong at Daytona… Hamlin heads back to Daytona after winning the last two Daytona 500’s and three of the last five season-opening races at the 2.5-mile Florida superspeedway. In February, Hamlin led 79 laps (of 209) to score the prestigious victory. Hamlin has added five additional wins this season and currently has 37 Playoff points.

Busch Secure in Playoff Field… Kyle Busch clinched a spot in the 2020 Playoff field following Sunday’s race at Dover. Although he’s yet to register a win this season, the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series champion looks to defend his title on the strength of 11 top-five finishes and 13 top-10 results in 25 races this year. Busch has previously won at Daytona in the summer 2008 race and also scored a victory in the non-points playing Busch Clash at Daytona in 2012.

Jones Ready for a Playoff Push… Erik Jones heads to Daytona, a track he’s had success at in the past, as he looks to score another victory to clinch a Playoff spot. Jones earned his first career Cup Series victory in July of 2018 at Daytona and added a Busch Clash win this February at Daytona in the non-points race.

Burton Looking for One More Spot… Harrison Burton started his Xfinity Series rookie season with a strong performance at Daytona International Speedway in February, earning a runner-up finish and leading nine laps around the superspeedway. Burton has since scored his first two career NXS victories at Auto Club Speedway in February and Homestead-Miami in June and sits sixth in the overall point standings.

Hill Leads the Pack… Tundra driver Austin Hill continues to lead the NGROTS point standings with a series best 11 top-10 finishes, and he is also the frontrunner in average finishing position (7.4). Hill is looking for his first top-10 finish at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway after back-to-back 11th-place finishes.

Kraus Ready for the Arch… NGROTS rookie Derek Kraus is making his first Truck Series start at Gateway but has fond memories of the St. Louis-area track. Kraus drove to the victory in what is now the ARCA Menards Series West in 2018 and added a second-place finish there last season on his way to the ARCA Menards Series West championship.

NASCAR Regional Series – ARCA

Closing in on 100… With Michael Self’s second victory of the season at Daytona International Speedway nearly two weeks ago, Toyota has now earned 95 ARCA national series wins since joining the series in 2007. Former Toyota driver Michael Annett drove to the first win for Toyota in the series at Talladega Superspeedway in October 2007. Toyota has quickly added to that total in recent years as Camry drivers have won 44 of the past 52 national ARCA events.

Nothing Like Your First… Ty Gibbs drove to his first national ARCA Menards Series victory with a last lap pass last year at Gateway. Gibbs has since added four additional national series wins, including three triumphs this season at Pocono Raceway, Kentucky Speedway and Iowa Speedway.

Top 3 Most Useful Tips to Get a Quick Loan

Do you need money urgently?

Perhaps your rent is late, and your landlord is threatening to evict you. Or your car just broke down, and you need money to pay for repairs. Or you’re ill and need to buy medication or go to the emergency room.

If you don’t have some cash saved up, you’re certainly looking at ways to get money quickly. One of your best options is to get a quick loan. A title loan at Titlelo could also be a short-term option for your financial trouble for an emergency. It’s quick cash for borrowers with poor or no credit if you qualify.

Unfortunately, the lending process is unpredictable. You don’t really know how quickly you can get the money or even where to borrow in an emergency unless you do some research and prepare ahead of time. The good news is there are things you can do to improve your chances of getting approved quickly.

Here’s a guide:

1. Know the Amount of Money You Need

Do you know the exact amount of money you need to borrow?

If you’re anything like most borrowers who need a quick loan, you certainly don’t know. You just have a rough estimate of what you’d like to borrow and do some research on various quick loans.

Well, if you want to get your loan approved quickly, it’s essential to know the amount of money you need. This will not only make filling out the application form easier but also help you ensure you’re borrowing an amount that is within your ability to repay.

You don’t want to waste time debating whether you need $1,000 or $2,000 at the application stage.

You also want to borrow money that you can repay. If you borrow $5,000, and your current income won’t allow you to repay it, the application will be rejected. But when you submit an application and the amount you’ve borrowed is well within your means, a quick approval is almost guaranteed.

2. Know Your Credit Score

Lenders have different credit score requirements.

When you know your credit score, it’s easy to choose a lender whose credit requirements aren’t prohibitive, especially if you’re considering buying tradelines. For example, if your credit score is 650, you’ll apply to lenders who need a credit score of at least 650. If you make an application to a lender who needs a credit score of 700, you’ll only be waiting for a rejection.

If you don’t know your credit score, request a copy of your credit report. If your credit score isn’t that great, you could work with one of the good credit repair companies out there to rebuild your credit, which should then mean that you will be able to get the loan that you need at a better interest rate.

3. Identify a Suitable Lender

When you want a quick loan, you don’t want to waste your time applying to a lender who is not likely to lend money to you.

This is why it’s super important to identify a suitable lender. With the internet, it’s possible to research various lenders and find one who suits your needs.

You should especially pay attention to lenders who offer same day loans. When you apply to such a lender and your application is confirmed, at least you’ll rest assured of getting the money in your account before the end of that day.

It’s Possible to Get a Quick Loan

Sometimes you just want to get a quick loan. Whether you’re borrowing from family or a commercial lender, there are steps you need to take to ensure you get the money as soon as possible. This guide has given you tips that’ll help you.

All the best and keep reading our blog for more money tips.

‘Pikes Peak Live presented by Mobil 1’ to bring race day from America’s Mountain into fans’ homes

Event will feature guest interviews and be broadcast for free via the Mobil 1 Facebook page on August 30

SPRING, Texas – From 14,115 feet to your mobile device, The Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, brought to you by Gran Turismo, will be broadcasting live from America’s Mountain as part of an innovative partnership with the Mobil 1™ brand of advanced synthetic motor oils. The experience, dubbed, “Pikes Peak Live presented by Mobil 1,” will bring fans closer than ever to the racing action, including live commentary, special guests, exclusive giveaways, and more.

Due to the impacts of COVID-19, the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb will take place without fans for the first time in the hill climb’s history. As a partner going back to 1934, Mobil™ branded products have a proud heritage of performing in the extreme conditions only Pikes Peak can pack into a single run. This year, those runs will be streamed live exclusively on the Mobil 1 Facebook page, providing free unique access for motorsport fans to enjoy the racing action on America’s Mountain from anywhere.

Further fueling the passions of its fans, the livestream will feature play-by-play commentary courtesy of legendary motorsport broadcast announcer, “The Voice,” John Hindhaugh. Hindhaugh serves as the host of Radio Le Mans, and he’ll be bringing that same detailed coverage in his role as master of ceremonies of the “Pikes Peak Live presented by Mobil 1” broadcast. This commentary will extend to welcoming long-term partners of the Mobil 1 brand who have collectively driven millions of miles with Mobil 1 advanced synthetic protecting their engines – some in conditions as extreme as Pikes Peak.

Partners of Mobil 1 to appear on the stream will include:

·        Clint Bowyer

·        Ryan Tuerck

·        Patrick Long

·        Jason Fenske

·        Nick Tandy

·        Magnus Walker

·        David Tsurusaki

·        Other acclaimed drivers, enthusiasts, and racers.

The broadcast will begin on Sunday, August 30 at 7 a.m., and conclude at 1 p.m. MDT. Those tuning in early will have the chance to enter to win limited-edition giveaways, and even have their questions answered by partners of Mobil 1 during their interviews.

“Just as drivers and race teams constantly need to adapt to changes at high altitudes and ever-evolving weather conditions, so too has our involvement through our Mobil 1 brand,” said Andrew Hanna, global motorsports and sponsorship advisor at ExxonMobil. “Reflecting the same innovative approach we take with every one of our products, ’Pikes Peak Live presented by Mobil 1’ is a new solution to a new problem as we remain committed to the safety of fans and competitors above all else. Doing so while providing a unique access point to this historic event is how we’re keeping focused on our consumers and delivering them unique experiences they can’t get anywhere else.”

In 2020, Mobil 1 advanced synthetic motor oils will again be an integral part of Porsche Motorsport’s entry in the Porsche Pikes Peak Trophy by Yokohama division. All vehicles competing in the program rely on off-the-shelf Mobil 1 FS 0W-40. Meanwhile eight-time event winner Jeff Zwart will also return to the mountain this year, piloting the new Porsche 935 that features Mobil 1 ESP X3 0W-40 under the decklid. This race car by Porsche is one of only 77 made and will be racing as part of the Time Attack 1 division which pits production-based sports racers against each other. The Mobil 1 products featured in both divisions are production-ready as well, and are available at your local Porsche dealer today.

“This new livestream format that allows us to help keep our fans and competitors safe is a dream come true,“ said Megan Leatham, executive director of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. “Through our long-standing partnership, it’s fitting that Mobil 1 is the brand helping our team bring this innovative fan experience to life. And since America’s Mountain is rather daunting, having global motorsports authority John Hindhaugh provide his entertaining insight and perspective while interviewing some of the world’s most renowned motorsport and automotive personalities will be like nothing we’ve ever done before. There are going to be spectacular camera angles, historic film clips, and live timing, so we hope people don’t miss what’s in store so they can plan to come see us in-person next year.”

To connect everyday enthusiasts with those on the mountain, participating Porsche dealerships nationwide will have the same Mobil 1 products used during the 98th Pikes Peak International Hill Climb available for oil changes. Consumers who prefer to change their own oil can also find these products for purchase at their local Porsche dealer, or at their preferred automotive retailer.

For more information on the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, visit PPIHC.org. To catch “Pikes Peak Live presented by Mobil 1,” log on to the Mobil 1 Facebook page from 7 a.m. through 1 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time on Sunday, August 30.

Driver Quotes

“It’s always nice to go back to Daytona, and since we are on a bit of a hot streak lately I feel even better about it. This No. 1 team has been solid all season long, and I am looking for another great performance this weekend. We’ve had speed all year, and our restrictor-plate program here at JRM is really good. We were fast in February and we’ll be fast again this weekend.” – Michael Annett

“It feels good to finally get a win after the tough season we’ve had. I think that will give us some more momentum as we get closer to the playoffs. Daytona is one of those places where you never know how your day is going to end. It hasn’t been too kind to our No. 7 team our past couple of trips there, but we know we have a strong superspeedway program and we’re going to do all we can to get a great finish with our Suave Men Camaro.” – Justin Allgaier

“Anything can happen in superspeedway racing. You can go from the back to the front and right back at any given moment. It’s definitely a unique style of racing and I’m really looking forward to getting to Daytona on Friday and drafting with my JRM teammates. JRM has always seemed to unload with a ton of speed at both Daytona and Talladega and Jeb (Burton) had some great runs at both tracks earlier this season. If we just play it smart and avoid trouble, I feel really confident that we can fight for the win in the closing laps with our Poppy Bank Chevy.” – Daniel Hemric

“The last time we ran the oval at Daytona was one of the best days of my racing career. We had just announced a new partnership with Bass Pro Shops, TrueTimber Camo and Black Rifle Coffee earlier that week and to celebrate in Victory Lane with them in Daytona was amazing. I can’t wait to get back there and hopefully put this Bass Pro Shops/TrueTimber/Black Rifle Coffee Camaro back in victory lane just like we did in February. JR Motorsports has always been great on superspeedways and I know that’s not going to change this weekend.” – Noah Gragson

JRM Team Updates

• JRM at Daytona: In 80 NXS starts at Daytona International Speedway, JR Motorsports has scored seven wins, 24 top fives and 36 top 10s. The organization enters this weekend as the most recent race winner on the famed superspeedway with Noah Gragson scoring the victory in the 2020 season-opening event. Gragson’s victory keeps JRM’s streak alive of visiting Victory Lane at Daytona at least one time in every season since 2016.
• JRM on Superspeedways: In 121 NXS starts at Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway, JRM has earned a combined nine wins, 36 top fives and 59 top 10s. Elliott Sadler scored the organization’s most recent victory at Talladega in 2016 while Noah Gragson visited Victory Lane at Daytona earlier this season. Overall, JRM has won seven times at Daytona, more than any other track on the NXS circuit.
• United for America: As part of the Unilever’s family of brands, Suave stands #UnitedforAmerica: a commitment to help frontline relief organizations deliver essential supplies to those in need. See what they’re doing at . And remember, if you find yourself out of hand soap, grab the Suave Men 3-in-1 body wash. It’s just as effective for cleaning hands.

Oura Health Becomes Official Health Technology Partner Of NASCAR

Oura Rings to Help Drivers and Employees Monitor and Optimize their Health and Performance

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (August 26, 2020) – NASCAR announced today a multi-year Official Partnership with Oura Health, the technology company behind the smart ring that provides users with biometrics and analysis into their sleep and overall health to improve performance and monitor for potential illness. Through the partnership, Oura becomes an Official Health Technology Partner of NASCAR.

After rigorous vetting by NASCAR, Oura emerged as an accurate and efficient solution to advance the organization’s approach to health and wellness. As part of the agreement, NASCAR Cup Series drivers and key operational employees across the sanctioning body will be provided with an Oura Ring, which delivers personalized readiness, activity, and sleep insights to provide a holistic picture of a person’s health.

By monitoring changes in an individual’s temperature, heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV) and respiratory rate, Oura Rings can also potentially detect abnormal fluctuations in asymptomatic carriers as well as previously healthy individuals who are experiencing the onset of a disease. Oura Rings have been used in TemPredict, a study at University of California, San Francisco, and in a separate study at the Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute (RNI) West Virginia University — contributing to a growing body of research on illness detection, symptom profiles, and recovery.

“In today’s challenging environment Oura Rings provide an edge to keep our athletes and employees safe,” said John Bobo, Vice President, Racing Operations. “Oura’s advanced technology will work glove in hand with NASCAR’s safety protocols. What impressed us was the quality of data that Oura collects, and how high performing athletes and individuals can use that to improve their performance.  We also look forward to a long-term partnership and what we can learn from Oura in the years ahead.”

Building on significant advancements in research, and its long-standing Oura Teams product, Oura has developed the Health Risk Management (HRM) platform to help support NASCAR’s safety protocols. This platform assigns a unique Risk Score to participating athletes and staff members. The score indicates the likelihood that an individual is experiencing symptoms that correlate with illness. In the event someone is experiencing symptoms, Oura will send an alert directly to the individual and inform them of the recommended next steps, such as taking a COVID-19 test, seeking further medical attention, or isolating themselves from others.

“We are thrilled to join NASCAR in its effort to provide employees and athletes with the most accurate data and insights to help improve their overall health and assist in detecting the early onset of illness,” said Harpreet Singh Rai, CEO, Oura Health. “Our goal is to help NASCAR and its industry make more informed decisions as they enter the Playoffs, with an eye towards the future and the performance benefits our technology can provide.”

To protect the privacy of participants, the HRM platform is designed to be 100% voluntary and opt-in only. Drivers and league personnel can ask to be removed from the program at any time. All biometric data collected will remain private. Additionally, the Oura Ring does not track user location.

Fittings for the initial phase of the Oura Ring deployment in NASCAR are scheduled to begin in the coming week, with the goal of all participating NASCAR Cup Series drivers and employees being outfitted by the first round of the Playoffs.

Justin Haley Quote
“We just got done with the Dover doubleheader. We had two solid runs up there, and now we’re headed down to Daytona, Florida for a Friday night race at Daytona International Speedway. We’re going to be doing some superspeedway racing up on the high banks in the No. 11 LeafFilter Gutter Protection Chevrolet. I love these night races – the LeafFilter paint scheme shines so great under the lights. We had a lot of success there last year. We pushed Ross Chastain to the win with a one-two finish, and then we went one-two at Talladega, just reversed, where I won at the last superspeedway race this year. Kaulig Racing drivers swept these races at Daytona last year in the Cup race and the Xfinity race.

I can’t wait to get down there in our fast LeafFilter Gutter Protection Chevrolet. All three of us, Ross Chastain, AJ Allmendinger, and myself, the trio, are going to be back at it under the lights. I can’t wait. We still miss all the fans at the race track, but I hope you all are tuning in to each and every one of the NASCAR Xfinity races and watching the No. 11 LeafFilter Gutter Protection Chevrolet run up front.”

Ross Chastain Quote
“Summertime Daytona race. This was the site of our first victory [at Daytona], both for myself and in the team’s history last year. We went to victory lane in this Xfinity race last year. I’m looking forward to it again. Kaulig Racing always brings super fast superspeedway cars. It’s incredible. It’s unlike anything that many of the drivers, including myself, have ever driven. We’re able to be really aggressive, and we’re also able to work together, as you saw at Talladega, which is a similar package. It took all three of the Kaulig Racing cars to work together to push Justin Haley to the win. We want to do the same thing. We want to control the race. I think we are starting second last I checked. It’s just a dream to drive racecars that can close that bubble. You hear drivers talk a lot about the bubble – it’s just the aerodynamics. Once you get close to the car in front of you, it wants to push that car away. As racecar drivers, we keep things really simple, so you can think of the analogy of popping a bubble and getting right to their bumper. Our cars can do that, so hopefully our Nutrien Ag Solutions No. 10 car can go to victory lane again.”

Kevin Harvick, the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series regular-season champion, will start on pole position in the Cup Series regular-season finale at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, August 29.

Harvick, who is coming off a dominating victory in the second of a Dover doubleheader weekend on August 22-23 and earned Ford’s 700th Cup career win, will lead the field to the green flag for the third time this season as this marks the second time he was awarded the Busch Pole Award based on NASCAR’s new competition-based formula weighing the field/starting lineup for an upcoming race on three statistical categories: the results from a previous Cup race, current positioning in the owner points standings and the fastest lap from a previous Cup race. At the conclusion of Saturday’s race at Daytona, the driver of the No. 4 Ford Mustang for Stewart-Haas Racing will officially be awarded the regular-season championship trophy and 15 bonus points towards the Playoffs as he pursues his second Cup title.

Martin Truex Jr., who finished in second place in both Dover races last weekend, will start alongside Harvick on the front row as he continues to pursue his first Cup win at Daytona and on a superspeedway venue. Penske teammates Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski will start third and fourth while Aric Almirola, who clinched a spot in the Playoffs based on points last weekend, will round out the top-five starting grid.

Hendrick teammates William Byron and Jimmie Johnson, both of whom are separated by four points for the final spot to the Playoffs, will occupy the third row and in sixth and seventh. Teammate Alex Bowman will start in eighth place while Ryan Blaney and Denny Hamlin, winner of the first Dover race last weekend, will start in the top 10. Brothers Kyle and Kurt Busch, both of whom clinched spots for the Playoffs based on points will start 11th and 13th while Austin Dillon will start in between the Busch brothers. Clint Bowyer and Matt DiBenedetto, both of whom occupy two of the final three vacant spots to the Playoffs entering Daytona, will start in 14th and 15th.

Starting in positions 16-28 are rookie Cole Custer, Chris Buescher, rookie Tyler Reddick, Matt Kenseth, Erik Jones, Bubba Wallace, Ryan Newman, rookie Christopher Bell, rookie John Hunter Nemechek, Corey LaJoie, Michael McDowell, Chase Elliott and Ryan Preece.

Starting in positions 29-40 are Ty Dillon, Daniel Suarez, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., rookie Brennan Poole, J.J. Yeley, rookie Quin Houff, Timmy Hill, Ross Chastain, Joey Gase, James Davison, Josh Bilicki and veteran Brendan Gaughan.

The 2020 NASCAR Cup Series regular-season finale at Daytona, which will determine the 2020 Cup Playoff field, will occur on August 29 at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

How to Choose the Right Vehicle For Your Lifestyle

Next to a house, a car is the most expensive and important investment you’ll make in your life. This is a great investment since a car can improve one’s life in many ways. For one, a car can provide convenience to its owner because they’ll no longer have to depend on the availability of public transportation just to get from one place to another.

But with the number of cars available in the market today, do you know what to choose? Are you aware of the many factors to consider when buying a car? Answering all of these questions should be on top of your to-do list when buying a car to ensure that you’re not putting money down the drain with your purchase.

To help you come up with a sound decision, let this article help. Listed below are some tips to help you choose the right vehicle for your lifestyle.

Family Life?

Is your lifestyle approaching the family stage? Are you planning to get married soon? Is your family growing? If so, a large SUV is the ideal choice of car for you. There are a few reasons why.

First, a large sports utility vehicle offers a drastic difference in space and storage when compared to smaller cars. This makes them ideal if you have a few kids that you need to ferry around to various activities. More room means more space for groceries, sports bags, luggage, and all the miscellaneous stuff that comes with being in a family.

Moreover, the compartment in a large SUV will ensure your family’s comfort on the road, regardless of how long the trip is. This kind of vehicle is also ideal if your family loves to travel around and bring a lot of stuff with them.

A large SUV also offers improved safety ratings, which means that you can drive your family around with peace of mind that in the unlikely case of an accident, your car is designed to keep you and your children safe.

Late Teens or Early Adulthood?

If you’re in your late teens or early twenties, you are at a vastly different time of life from those older than you. You have less hassle, less responsibility, and more freedom. Chances are you’re studying at uni or elsewhere, or working a casual job. You’re probably hitting the pubs, clubs, and festivals and heading off on road trips. This means that a smaller car is suited for this stage of life. Consider a hatchback or a small sedan, rather than a larger car.

These types of cars are perfect for zipping around town but are just as suited for a road trip down the coast. They tend to be fuel-efficient as well, which is excellent for a student on a budget or a casual worker. Maintenance costs are less too, as the engines are smaller.

If you’re fond of driving around with several items with you, you can attach assembled tandem towing trailers to your hatchback or small sedan. This accessory is easy to attach and remove, and it’ll allow you to easily carry a lot of items when traveling without compromising your comfort and safety inside the vehicle.

Retirement or Downsizing?

Finally, let’s explore the perfect car for those in the later stages of life – retirement, empty-nesting and downsizing.

This is when your kids have grown up, moved out and you have retired. You have more time on your hands to re-engage with your hobbies, interests, and social circles. During retirement, you’ll have more time to smell the flowers and focus on yourself.

There are a few options here. For those that are keen to enjoy a quiet retirement, with home-based activities and a few trips out and about, a small hybrid is the best choice. This is because they are cheap to run due to the hybrid engine, saving you money on fuel at a time when your income will likely come from your retirement fund. This type of car is still excellent for trips to town, the groceries, and the occasional road trip. This car is one of the best options for retirees because it performs well on the road and doesn’t require thousands of dollars for its maintenance.

If you plan to hitch a caravan to your car and hit the road in retirement, then you’ll want a larger vehicle with off-road capabilities and towing capacity. In this case, a sturdy four-wheel drive is the best choice.

A Car Conclusion

Your choice of vehicle needs to match your lifestyle. When you’re raising a family, a large SUV is the best bet. When you’re younger, a small hatchback, a sedan, or a small SUV like Kia Seltos is a great idea. And finally, in retirement, you may opt for a hybrid if you’re planning a quiet, urban retirement. Or, a powerful four-wheel drive if you’re planning on hitting the road with a caravan in tow.
