Carson Brown edges Tristan McKee in overtime for first career victory at Phoenix

In his first career ARCA Menards Series national series start, 17-year-old Carson Brown claimed his first career victory at Phoenix Raceway on Thursday night. It was an exciting overtime restart following a late race caution and a two-lap dash to the finish in a dominating race for Brown. He led all but two laps after starting on the pole.

“All the guys back at PRG (Pinnacle Racing Group), big thank you to them,” Brown said an post race interview to FS1. “Distributing Wire Cable, just everyone who makes this happen. Andy’s Frozen Custard. Just couldn’t do it without all of them. Man, that green-white-checkered made it a little hairy there. Made a little contact off (Turn) 2, but just glad I can kind of persevere there and make it to the finish line.”

The second race of the 2026 ARCA Menards Series season was contested on a rare Thursday night with 40 cars entered. It also marked a combination event with the West Series, which had its season opener last week at Kern Raceway. This meant the race paid points to the two different series. Last week’s West winner, Mason Massey, qualified in the 14th position. Brown, who is an RCR developmental driver, qualified on the pole with a time of 27.67 seconds at 130.105 mph. 2024 Watkins Glen winner McKee was on the outside front row. The halfway break took place at Lap 76.

Once the green flag was waved, it didn’t take long for the yellow flag to be displayed on the first lap in Turn 2. The No. 06 of Bobby Hillis Jr wrecked in front of a few cars and collected Bobby Dale Earnhardt, Nate Moeller, and Brad Smith. With the yellow flying on the first lap, it would set the norm for the race as many cautions flew.

Leading up to the halfway race break at Lap 76, there were three cautions for incidents. One on Lap 13 for a Turn 2 spin for the No. 11 of Dustin Hillenburg, the other for a Lap 22 caution also taking place in Turn 2. The No. 5 of Eric Johnson Jr and No. 55 of Isabella Robusto got into each other after Johnson Jr got loose and sideways into Robusto’s machine.

At Lap 27, a caution was immediately thrown right on the restart for the No. 90 of Jade Avedisian, who could not get going and was unable to get the car fired due to a battery issue. Despite a slew of yellows in the early going, there was a 43-lap green flag run which ended at Lap 76 for the competition break. Brown led the way with McKee, Jake Bollman, Isaac Kitzmiller, Andy Jankowiak, Thomas Annunziata, Mason Massey, Max Reaves, Mia Lovell and Taylor Mayhew rounded out the Top 10 during the break.

As the race went back green at Lap 84, more cautions plagued the race, most notably for a big crash on the backstretch. Mayhew and Lovell made contact with each other before entering the backstretch, causing Lovell to spin in front of the field. Numerous drivers were involved, including Julian Dacosta, Robusto, Taylor Reimer, Avedisian, Robbie Kennealy and several others, who were collected in the wreck.

Shortly after a brief restart came with 35 laps to go, another caution came out just three laps later for the No. 7 of Gavin Ray, who wrecked in Turn 2 after Mayhew got loose and slid up into him.

It seemed as though we would see a 30-lap run to the finish with Brown dominating the race. However, right before the leaders crossed the finish line to take the white flag, a yellow flag was displayed for an incident that saw Hillenburg going around. With the caution coming out before the last lap, this would see a two-lap dash overtime restart to settle the winner.

McKee had a shot and gave it all he could, but he didn’t have enough to maneuver past Brown on the final lap and had to settle for a second-place finish.

There were nine cautions for a total of 53 laps and two leaders among two lead changes.

Carson Brown, Tristan McKee, Thomas Annunziata, Trevor Huddleston, Mason Massey, Jake Bollman, Isaac Kitzmiller, Taylor Mayhew, Max Reaves and Robbie Kennealy were the Top 10 finishers.

Up Next – The next event for the national ARCA Menards Series platform is Saturday, April 18, at Kansas Speedway, live on FS1 and MRN Radio at 12:30 p.m./ET.

TONY STEWART MAKES ELITE MOTORSPORTS DEBUT; AARON STANFIELD LOOKING TO CARRY OVER MOMENTUM

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (March 05, 2026) – Elite Motorsports enters this weekend’s Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway, the first of 20 events on the Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series schedule, with their stable of six Pro Stock cars and the debut of their Top Fuel dragster program.

The Elite Motorsports R+L Carriers Top Fuel dragster will make its competition debut at the season opener with motorsports legend Tony Stewart at the wheel. Stewart is in his third season as a Top Fuel pilot. He earned two victories in 2025 and secured the regular season championship before finishing fifth in points. Last year at Gainesville Raceway he had a quarterfinal exit after qualifying 11th.

“I’m about as ready as I’m going to be for the Gatornationals, and I mean that in a good way. Testing has been great, we’ve put up some impressive numbers that have this whole R+L team pretty pumped for the weekend,” said Stewart who laid down a 340-mph run on the last day of testing. “When you see numbers on the board like that, you can’t help but feel optimistic. This whole crew has been working hard so it’s going to be nice to see it officially pay off once we get the Gatornationals started. We’re definitely going to start the season strong, I’m excited about it.”

Led by veteran crew chiefs Mike Green and Joe Barlam, Stewart and the R+L crew will also compete in the Right Trailers Top Fuel All Star Callout, a unique race within a race for the top eight qualified Top Fuel competitors. Stewart earned his way into the eight-car Callout by accumulating the fourth most qualifying points over last season.

Pro Stock phenom Aaron Stanfield comes into the NHRA Gatornationals after picking up a victory at the Drag Illustrated World Series of Pro Mod. For three consecutive years, Elite Motorsports has started the Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series season with a pre-season victory, Erica Enders won the 2024 PRO SuperStar Shootout and Troy Coughlin Jr. won the same event in 2025 all three have been at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, Florida.

“I kept my competitive spirit alive during the off season running in the Drag illustrated Winter Series. We ran three races and we missed the field in the first two. But in the first Pro Mod race I’ve ever qualified for, I won it,” Stanfield said. “The World Series of Pro Mod was an incredible event. First off to have Richard [Freeman] have the confidence in me to put me in a Pro Mod car this off season and then he told me I was going to win if I got qualified. To have him have my back like that and give me the opportunity is amazing.

“I’m hungry for some more,” Stanfield continued. “It’s never enough. Its great momentum coming into the NHRA season. We’ve got our heads down and we’re on a mission this year.”

Stanfield finished his 2025 NHRA season fourth in the championship points standings, the best of the Elite Motorsports Pro Stock cars. Stanfield handled the Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage / Melling Performance / Janac Brothers machine to two final round appearances and five semifinal finishes. Stanfield will look to improve on a No. 11 qualifying position and first round exit from the 2025 Gatornationals.

“Rolling into Gainesville after making about 25 runs in testing, that definitely has me feeling pretty sharp as a driver. The Elite guys have been working really hard this winter and I feel like I’ve made some headway. I think we’re going to have a good showing here this weekend,” Stanfield said. “This will be the first time we get to see where we stack up against the competition. We know we’re headed in the right direction.”

Six-time world champion Erica Enders and her JHG / Melling / R+L Carriers machine will be looking for their second win at the NHRA Gatornationals. Enders picked up her first win at Gainesville Raceway in 2024.

Jeg Coughlin Jr. and Troy Coughlin Jr. have teamed up with JEGS for the 2026 season and will both rep the yellow and black of the iconic family brand. Jeg Jr. is looking for his third win at the Gatornationals, he won in 2001 and 2008. Tory Jr. will look to repeat his victory from 2023.

Greg Stanfield, who made his return to the Pro Stock seat in 2024 and set the tone with a win at the NHRA Sonoma Nationals, will look to get the Janac Brothers hot rod in the winners circle for the first time at the Gatornationals.

Entering his sophomore season, Stephen Bell with 1320 alongside his Pro Stocker, is looking for his first professionally victory to add to his seven Factory Stock Showdown wins. This will be his Gainesville Raceway debut after only competing in 10 events last season.

The Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals kicks off with four rounds of qualifying Friday at 2:30 and 5:00 p.m. and Saturday at 12:35 and 3:00 p.m. Eliminations are slated for Sunday at 10 a.m. Television coverage of the event will be on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) on Sunday with a qualifying show at 10 a.m. and eliminations coverage at noon.

QUOTABLE /

Kyle Larson, driver of the No. 5 Chevrolet, on Phoenix Raceway: “I’m excited to get to this style of track this time of year. It’s where you kind of learn where you’re at as an organization, speed-wise anyway, relative to the rest of the field. I’m even more excited this year because we have the new body style. I think everything we’ve learned about it to this point has been positive and definitely an upgrade, which it should be.”

Chase Elliott, driver of the No. 9 Chevrolet, on heading to Phoenix Raceway: “I felt like we had a pretty respectable run in our last visit to Phoenix. Led some laps and may have been up there towards the end if we didn’t have that speeding penalty. It has me looking forward to going back and seeing kind of where we stack up. I feel like this will be the first true test of the work we put in during the off season.”

William Byron, driver of the No. 24 Chevrolet, on the next stretch of races, starting with Phoenix Raceway: “We really had a good run going at COTA (Circuit of The Americas). I hate that we couldn’t come away with a better finish to show that. The next stretch of races though are our team’s bread and butter. We have success there and I am always confident in what we unload with. Hopefully that’s the case again. I’m sure we’ll have a little to sort through getting adjusted to the new Chevrolet body, but I still think we’ll be in a good place.”

Anthony Alfredo, driver of the No. 48 Chevrolet, on filling in for Alex Bowman at Phoenix Raceway: “First and foremost, I hate it for Alex (Bowman). No race car driver wants be in the position where they have to give up their seat for a weekend to someone else. His health is definitely the most important thing and I hope he gets back to the track soon. I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Blake (Harris, crew chief) and the No. 48 team for this race. It’s a group I’m already familiar with due to my relationship with Hendrick Motorsports and Chevrolet. The goal is to have a solid weekend at Phoenix (Raceway) and help get the team some good notes for future races.”

Corey Day, driver of the No. 17 Chevrolet, on returning to Phoenix Raceway: “I’ve been learning a lot the last couple of weeks, it’s been rough getting on new tracks and still adjusting to the car, so I’m excited to head back to Phoenix. It’ll be my third time racing there so it’s always good to go back to a track I’ve raced before. I’m definitely more comfortable there than the first time I went in the NOAPS car. Excited for more laps at a track I’ve already been to in a really fast car that the team has been working really hard to get ready.”

Hendrick Motorsports Statement on Alex Bowman

CONCORD, N.C. (March 5, 2026) – Alex Bowman, driver of the No. 48 Ally Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports, will not compete in the March 8 NASCAR Cup Series event at Phoenix Raceway due to vertigo diagnosed this week.

Bowman, 32, began experiencing symptoms during Sunday’s road course race at Circuit of The Americas before exiting the car at lap 71. The Tucson, Arizona, native underwent two days of medical evaluation this week and drove laps today in a streetcar at the Ten Tenths Motor Club road course in Concord.

“Alex has worked very hard over the last several days,” said Jeff Andrews, president of Hendrick Motorsports. “We’re encouraged by the progress he’s making, but we have to prioritize his health above all else. It’s obviously frustrating for him because he’s a competitor and wants to be in the race car, especially at his home track. We’ll continue to support Alex and look forward to his return as soon as he’s medically cleared.”

Driver Anthony Alfredo will fill in this weekend at Phoenix. The native of Ridgefield, Connecticut, has 210 NASCAR national series starts, including 43 at the Cup level. Alfredo, 26, performs extensive simulator testing for Hendrick Motorsports and Chevrolet.

Hendrick Motorsports will request a medical waiver to allow Bowman to remain eligible for the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series championship.

JOSH BILICKI AND SHEISGRACIELOU TEAM UP TO BRING COWBOY PILLOWS TO LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY

MOORESVILLE, NC, March 5, 2026 – NASCAR driver Josh Bilicki today announced that he is partnering with Sheisgracielou’s “Cowboy Pillows” brand for the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series spring race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The collaboration marks a new chapter for Sheisgracielou, introducing the brand to a national audience while staying true to its roots: red-blooded, high-impact and unmistakably American. Known for its bold aesthetic, original artwork and confident femininity, the brand is bringing its signature edge to one of the fastest stages in American sports.

“When the dust flies and the engines roar,” said Sheisgracielou creator Grace Vonstrahl, “we bring the kind of support that turns heads and doesn’t back down. Race day just got a little bolder.”

The brand’s tagline, “Cowboy Pillows,” is a playful nod to confident femininity, celebrating strength, curves and authenticity with unapologetic flair. Now the brand is taking its signature grit trackside, proving that confidence, like horsepower, is best unleashed in the turns. When the track gets tight, some curves demand full attention and Sheisgracielou is ready to deliver.

“Sheisgracielou brings a fresh, fun energy to handling curves both on and off the track,” said Bilicki. “NASCAR fans are going to love the Cowboy Pillows brand. Women will love how confident they feel in Cowboy Pillows clothing while men will love seeing them in it.”

The The LiUNA! (200 laps | 300 miles) is the 5th of 33 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series races on the 2026 schedule. Practice starts on Saturday, March 14 at 9:00 a.m. followed immediately by qualifying. The field is set to take the green flag later that day at 2:30 p.m. with live coverage on The CW, the Performance Racing Network (Radio), and SiriusXM NASCAR Channel 90. All times are Pacific Standard Time.

Car Accident Attorney Pasadena: Your Guide to Recovery

A serious car crash can turn your life upside down in moments. Medical bills come in before you have time to catch your breath, your vehicle sits in a repair shop, and an insurance adjuster starts calling for statements and quick settlements. When you look for a car accident attorney Pasadena drivers trust, you want someone who understands both what happened on the road and how it affects your daily life.

Working with a dedicated car accident attorney Pasadena residents trust gives you steady guidance while you focus on getting your life back on track. The right lawyer steps between you and the insurance company, protects your rights, and helps you pursue the compensation you need after a crash.

Why a Car Accident Attorney in Pasadena Makes a Difference

After a collision, you deal with much more than a damaged bumper or paperwork. Many people face:

  • Physical pain and ongoing medical treatment
  • Stress, worry, and trouble sleeping
  • Lost income and unexpected expenses
  • Transportation problems while the car is being repaired

A car accident attorney in Pasadena takes over the legal and insurance hassle so you do not handle it all yourself. Instead of guessing what to say or sign, you get:

  • Clear explanations of your options in plain language
  • Honest feedback about the strength of your car accident claim
  • A strategy designed to pursue full and fair compensation

Most importantly, you have someone on your side when the insurance company focuses on protecting its bottom line rather than your recovery.

First Steps to Take After a Pasadena Car Accident

What you do right after a Pasadena car accident can strongly affect your claim. You protect both your health and your case when you:

  • Get medical attention right away Even if you think you are “okay,” some car accident injuries, like whiplash or concussions, show up hours or days later. Seeing a doctor creates a record that connects your condition to the crash.
  • Call the police and request a crash report. A police report adds important details about the collision and can support your version of how the wreck happened.
  • Gather key information at the scene, if you can
    • Names and contact details for all drivers and witnesses
    • Insurance information
    • Photos of the scene, vehicle damage, skid marks, and visible injuries
  •  Write down what you remember as soon as possible, jot down road and weather conditions, traffic flow, the time of day, and anything the other driver said. Memories fade quickly.

Reaching out to a car accident attorney Pasadena residents rely on soon after the crash helps you avoid mistakes that can weaken your claim later.

How a Pasadena Car Accident Attorney Helps Your Claim

An experienced car accident attorney Pasadena drivers turn to for help does far more than fill out forms. You can expect hands-on assistance with every stage of your case.

Investigating the Crash

Your attorney can:

  • Review the police report and your medical records
  • Collect photos and any available video from dash cams, businesses, or traffic cameras
  • Interview witnesses while memories are still fresh
  • Work with accident reconstruction experts when needed

A thorough investigation helps show what happened, who caused the collision, and how the impact affected you.

Proving Fault

To recover compensation after a Pasadena car accident, you typically need to show that:

  • Another driver owed you a duty to drive safely and follow traffic laws
  • That driver broke that duty by speeding, texting, running a red light, following too closely, or driving under the influence
  • This misconduct caused the crash
  • You suffered losses such as medical bills, missed work, and pain

A Pasadena car accident attorney puts these pieces together and presents them in a clear, organized way to the insurance company or, if necessary, to a jury.

Dealing With the Insurance Company

Insurance adjusters try to limit what their company pays on car accident claims. A lawyer steps in to:

  • Handle all calls, emails, and letters
  • Review any early, low settlement offers
  • Push for a settlement that reflects the full impact of the crash on your life
  • Prepare your case for trial if the insurance company refuses to be reasonable

This support lets you focus on medical treatment and daily life instead of arguing with an adjuster.

Understanding Texas Deadlines and Fault Rules

If your crash happened in Pasadena, Texas law applies. Two important rules can strongly affect your car accident case.

Texas Statute of Limitations

In most Texas car accident lawsuits and related cases, you generally have two years from the date of the crash to file a lawsuit. If you wait too long, you lose the right to ask a court for compensation, even if your case once looked strong.

Talking with a car accident attorney in Pasadena early in the process helps you:

  • Understand all important deadlines
  • Preserve critical evidence before it disappears
  • Avoid last-minute scrambling that leads to mistakes

Comparative Negligence (The 51% Rule)

Texas follows a modified comparative negligence system:

  • If you are 51% or more at fault, you do not recover compensation
  • If you are 50% or less at fault, your compensation is reduced by your percentage of fault

Insurance companies often try to push more blame onto the driver bringing the claim to save money. A skilled Pasadena car accident attorney challenges unfair fault arguments and works to keep your percentage of responsibility as low as possible.

Types of Compensation You Can Pursue After a Crash

A serious Pasadena car accident can touch every part of your life. With the help of a car accident attorney Pasadena residents trust, you may pursue compensation for:

Medical Expenses

  • Emergency room visits and ambulance costs
  • Hospital stays and surgery
  • Physical therapy and rehabilitation
  • Prescription medications
  • Future medical care if you have ongoing problems

Lost Income

  • Wages you missed while you recovered
  • Reduced future earning capacity if you cannot return to your old job or work the same hours

Property Damage

  • Repairs to your vehicle
  • Replacement of a totaled vehicle
  • Other damaged property in the car, such as phones, child car seats, or work equipment

Pain and Suffering

  • Physical pain from your injuries
  • Stress, anxiety, or depression after the wreck
  • Loss of enjoyment of hobbies and daily activities

Every car accident is different. A careful attorney looks at how the collision changed your day-to-day life and pushes to reflect that impact in your claim.

Common Mistakes to Avoid After a Car Accident

You can protect yourself and strengthen your car accident claim by avoiding these frequent errors:

  • Giving a recorded statement to the insurance company without legal guidance
  • Posting photos or comments about the crash on social media
  • Accepting the first settlement offer just to get quick cash for bills
  • Skipping medical appointments or stopping treatment too soon
  • Downplaying your pain or limitations when talking with doctors or adjusters

A car accident attorney in Pasadena can explain what to say, what not to say, and how each choice may affect your claim.

What to Look For in a Car Accident Attorney Pasadena Drivers Trust

Choosing the right lawyer for your Pasadena car accident case is important. When you speak with a potential car accident attorney Pasadena drivers recommend, consider:

  • Experience with Texas car accident cases
  • Clear, comfortable communication in everyday language
  • Willingness to answer questions and keep you informed
  • Focus on your goals, not just a quick settlement
  • Contingency fee structure, where legal fees come out of a recovery instead of your pocket up front

You deserve someone who treats you with respect, listens to your concerns, and understands the pressure you face after a serious collision.

Ways to Support Your Recovery While Your Case Moves Forward

While your attorney works on the legal side of your Pasadena car accident claim, there are practical steps you can take to support your recovery:

  • Keep a simple journal
    • Rate your pain each day
    • Note activities you cannot do or that make symptoms worse This record can help your doctor adjust treatment and support the value of your claim.
  • Stay organized
    • Use a folder or digital file for medical bills, receipts, and letters
    • Keep copies of repair estimates and rental car costs. Having everything in one place saves time and reduces stress.
  •
  • Lean on trusted friends and family
    • Ask for help with rides to appointments
    • Let someone know when you feel overwhelmed so they can step in
  • Ask your doctors direct questions
    • “How long do you expect this pain to last?”
    • “What activities should I avoid?” Clear answers help you understand what to expect in the weeks and months after the crash.

Combining your own efforts with strong legal support places you in the best position to move forward after a Pasadena car accident.

Take Action Now to Protect Your Rights

After a serious collision in or around Pasadena, you do not have to handle the process by yourself. An experienced car accident attorney Pasadena drivers rely on can:

  • Explain your rights in straightforward terms
  • Deal with aggressive insurance tactics
  • Help you pursue fair compensation for your crash-related losses

The sooner you reach out, the easier it is to gather evidence, meet important deadlines, and build a solid case. Your health, time, and future all matter. Getting knowledgeable legal help now can make a real difference in what happens after your Pasadena car accident.

  • He is a two-time Xfinity Series winner in Phoenix including winning the 2018 race in the No. 22 entry, and in 2014 for Team Penske. Overall, he has 21 NXS starts with fifteen top-10s. Top-10s: 5

There are no “option tires” this year but potential remains heading to a track where he scored a 9th place finish in the fall.
Preece is set to make his 14th Cup start in Phoenix this weekend and is coming off a career-best ninth-place finish in last season’s finale.
Preece has an average starting position of 24.8, including a P12 effort in the 2023 season finale.

Last Time Out & Where They Stand
COTA: RFK Racing did not leave COTA with a trophy, but the day was defined by Texas-sized toughness from all three drivers. Ryan Preece overcame several obstacles, including a failed cool suit, to finish in 18th place, demonstrating the perseverance that has come to define him. In the season’s most intense race and his first significant test since injuring his femur, Brad Keselowski persevered through 90 challenging laps to finish in 20th place. Chris Buescher, a favorite in his hometown, overcame heavy traffic, a late-race spin, and nose damage to battle back to 24th and earn every point he could. On paper, it wasn’t a big day, but the Preece, Keselowski, and Buescher trio’s battle made it a victory in spirit.

AFTER CHANGES, THE GOAL REMAINS THE SAME FOR FUNNY CAR’S AUSTIN PROCK HEADING TO GAINESVILLE

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (March 5, 2026) – There’s a new car and a new team, but the end goal remains the same for Funny Car standout Austin Prock, who enters the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season as the back-to-back world champion.

But there’s been plenty of change for Prock heading into this weekend’s Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway to kick off NHRA’s 75th anniversary. After winning consecutive championships, Prock and his team are now with Bob Tasca’s Funny Car team and Ford Racing, serving as one of the off-season’s biggest bombshells.

The team has been hard at work to get ready for Gainesville in their 12,000-horsepower PPG Mustang Dark Horse, but the objective hasn’t changed. After winning 17 times the past two years, Prock and his team have no other plans but to keep their hot streak going.

“It’s been a lot of work and a lot of long hours, seven days a week, for most of the off-season and still right now,” Prock said. “We bit off a huge chunk and we’re just sorting through it. We’ve had a little bit of success in testing, but we’ll keep working and we’ll be ready. All we have to do is qualify and be ready by Sunday. We’ve got a few more days to sort through this and I’ve got the best people in the business working with me.

“There’s no doubt in my mind we’ll be a front-runner this year. We do have to be patient, but I don’t think anybody here wants to be patient. We know what we’re capable of doing and we know we can go out there and win the first race.”

Last year, Antron Brown (Top Fuel), Chad Green (Funny Car), Dallas Glenn (Pro Stock) and Gaige Herrera (Pro Stock Motorcycle) all won at Gainesville Raceway to open the year. This year’s race will again be broadcast on FS1, including eliminations at 12 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 8.

It’s the first of 20 races during the 2026 season and along with a full slate of racing, fans can expect a multitude of events to celebrate the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals and NHRA’s 75th anniversary, including:

  • Appearances from a host of NHRA legends during the event, including Kenny Bernstein, Don Garlits, Joe Amato, Don Prudhomme, Shirley Muldowney, Darrell Gwynn and Bob Frey.
  • A celebration of Bernstein’s historic 300-mph run from 1992.
  • A free, limited-edition NHRA 2026 season poster to the first 6,500 fans in attendance on Sunday.
  • A new-look Nitro Mall, special displays and 75th anniversary stage in Nitro Alley.
  • Race winners will get the special NHRA 75th anniversary Diamond Wally, along with the Gatornationals traditional Golden Gator trophy.

The Gatornationals remains one of the few races Prock hasn’t conquered the past two years, but doing so during the milestone year would be a memorable moment for the standout.

He’ll have to deal with the likes of four-time world champ Matt Hagan, three-time champ Ron Capps, Jordan Vandergriff, who is making his Funny Car debut for John Force Racing in Gainesville, Jack Beckman and Daniel Wilkerson.

Prock knows he’s again being chased, but it hasn’t changed his mindset as he hopes to start the season with one of the biggest wins in his career.

“I’ve wanted to win here so bad. My grandfather was in the finals here and I’ve never won here, so to win for the family, that would be cool and to win for Ford Racing and Tasca Racing on our first weekend, that would be a dream come true,” Prock said. “I think everyone would be really excited.

“We always want to go out there and dominate, that’s just how this team is. We’ve just got to keep our heads down, stay positive and keep working hard and towards our goal.”

Top Fuel’s Brown is after a repeat win, taking on reigning world champion Doug Kalitta, the returning Leah Pruett, racing legend Tony Stewart, Shawn Langdon, Justin Ashley, Clay Millican and Tony Schumacher.

The 2025 Pro Stock season was dominated by KB Titan Racing, with standout star Dallas Glenn earning his first world title. Glenn will take on teammate Greg Anderson, six-time world champ Erica Enders, Jeg Coughlin Jr. and Aaron Stanfield.

Pro Stock Motorcycle’s Gaige Herrera has never lost in Gainesville. Last year, he won his third straight, defeating rival Matt Smith. He’ll look for four in a row against reigning world champ Richard Gadson, Angie Smith, Steve Johnson and Jianna Evaristo.

The weekend will also feature thrilling competition in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, Flexjet Factory Showdown and the NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series.

Fans will also be invited all weekend long to the Nitro Alley Stage, which hosts Nitro School, meet and greets, music and more. Race fans in Gainesville can enjoy the special pre-race ceremonies that introduce and celebrate each of the drivers racing for the prestigious Wally on Sunday and includes the fan-favorite SealMaster Track Walk.

As always, fans get a pit pass to the most powerful and sensory-filled motorsports attraction. Fans have a chance to see teams in action and service their cars between rounds, get autographs from their favorite NHRA drivers and more. Fans can visit NHRA’s Nitro Alley, where sponsors and vendors create an exciting atmosphere that includes interactive displays, merchandise, and food and fun for the entire family.

NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series qualifying features two rounds at 1:30 and 4 p.m. ET on Friday, March 6, and the final two qualifying rounds on Saturday, March 7 at 12:30 and 3 p.m. Final eliminations are scheduled for 10 a.m. ET on Sunday, March 8.

The first round of the Right Trailers Top Fuel All-Star Callout takes place at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, with the semifinals slated for 2:15 p.m. and the final round at 3:30 p.m. A special Callout broadcast will also air at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday on FS1.
