No. 2 Bad Boy Buggies Chevrolet Silverado

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Race 6 of 25 – Dover International Speedway

HARVICK IS BACK: The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series heads to the Northeast for the Lucas Oil 200 at Dover (Del.) International Speedway. Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) co-owner Kevin Harvick is scheduled to pilot the No. 2 Bad Boy Buggies Chevrolet Silverado at the Monster Mile. This will be Harvick’s first Truck Series start at the one-mile oval.

During his career Harvick has made several appearances at Dover in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series. Between the two series Harvick has gathered 36 starts at the track and has posted five top-five and 16 top-10 finishes. Harvick still searches for his first win in any series at the Monster Mile.

KHI TRUCK SERIES SUCCESS: Since the 2004 season, KHI has made 11 starts at the concrete track. Throughout those races the KHI stable has earned one pole, one win, four top-five and five top-10 finishes. The organization has also been credited with leading 275 laps during the 11 races.

Four-time Truck Series champion, Ron Hornaday earned the sole KHI Dover pole back in May of 2009. Hornaday can also take credit for earning KHI its Monster Mile win, grabbing the checkers back in June of 2007.

CHASSIS HISTORY: The No. 2 KHI team will run chassis No. 042 this weekend at Dover International Speedway. This chassis previously competed at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway in the Bully Hill 200 on April 22 with Cale Gale behind the wheel.

PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: Cale Gale drove the No. 2 Rheem Chevrolet Silverado to a 29th-place finish at Nashville Superspeedway. Gale qualified in the 20th spot for the event.

HARVICK’S THOUGHTS ON DOVER:

What are the keys to being successful at Dover?

“One of the keys to being successful at Dover is rhythm. If you get into a rhythm with a particular setup, you’re going to be successful there. Dover is also an extremely fast track. You really need to concentrate the entire race just to make sure you don’t get caught up in someone else’s mistake.”

What is tricky about Dover?

“Getting the balance right. Just running your truck free enough where you can get back on the throttle in the middle of the corner and get off the corner without pushing the front tires. It’s a pretty sensitive race track so that can make it tough to get the balance right. The track is very narrow with a lot of banking, which makes for some great side-by-side racing but can be tough to pass.”
