Allegro Marinade Gives Race Day Advantage to David Starr

MOORESVILLE, NC – July 19, 2011  SS Green Light Racing is pleased to announce that Allegro Marinades, one of the nations leading providers of sauces and marinade has partnered with David Starr and the SS Green Light Racing team for several upcoming races in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

Allegro will be the primary sponsor on the SS Green Light Racing No. 81 Toyota Tundra at this week’s race at Nashville on July 22nd and later in the season at Kentucky on October 4th along with being an associate sponsor at Las Vegas on October 15th.

Allegro Marinade was a family recipe for Dave and Betsy Wilcox who first marketed the original Allegro in their family restaurant in the 1970s. Today Allegro products are distributed through retailers all across the United States.

Allegro, which means “happy, cheerful, merry or glad” in Italian or “in a lively manner” in English and those descriptions certainly represent David Starr.“It’s really cool to have Allegro Marinade with us this weekend and they are also going to be on the truck at Kentucky later in the year, so they have stepped-up their commitment to us this year. Allegro not only makes delicious products, they are a great group of people who enjoy NASCAR Racing and how it can benefit their company.”

“My wife cooks with Allegro all the time; not just the original marinade but they have a whole line of different sauces. Man, I’m getting hungry for a steak just talking about it!”

“We’ve identified that fans of NASCAR, country music and those who enjoy grilling out are our best customers,” said John Fuqua, president of Allegro Marinade. “Nashville Speedway is only about two hours away from our facility and we’ll have about half of our employees coming to the race along with customers and business partners. It’s a great place to market our products and reward our employees with a great day at the racetrack.”

“David is a great representative of our products and our employees, he’s a positive and upbeat person,” Fugua continued. “We are not a huge company, but we believe the NCWTS with David Starr is a great investment for us.”

“Allegro came on board for one race last season right after David joined our team,” said SS Green Light Racing owner Ken Smith. “We are very pleased to have Allegro return in an expanded role with us in 2011. They’re great people who enjoy NASCAR racing and have wonderful products and we are honored to help them marketing those products through the NCWTS community.”

Allegro Fine Foods, Inc. based in Paris, TN manufactures a true marinade in that it not only adds flavor but also tenderizes any cut of meat or vegetable. Allegro also bottles marinades and sauces for numerous private label customers. The company is proud of its history and of its growth, flexibility, and dedication to quality.
