James Buescher on driving at Homestead-Miami Speedway

“Homestead [Miami Speedway] is a great race track.  It is unique because there are three different lines into the corner.  At most mile-and-a-half tracks, the bottom is usually the fastest route, but at Homestead [Miami Speedway] you can run the middle or top and keep your truck wound up.  The variable banking gives the driver an opportunity to search around and find a line that is fast.  If our Exide Batteries Chevrolet is not working on the bottom, I can search around and see if the middle or top of the track is faster.  We will run side-by-side all night long which is fun for both the drivers and the fans.

“The Exide Batteries team is going to Homestead-Miami Speedway with one goal, which is to win the race.  We have had a great year and I can think of nothing better than to cap it off with a win.  We know we have to get the most points we can in order to have a shot to win the championship.  We have proven we never give up.  Regardless of the outcome, I am so proud of all the guys at Turner Motorsports.  We have proven to everyone in the garage we are a championship caliber team.”
