Ford Surprises NASCAR After The Lap Fan With A Ford F-150 XLT And Tickets To The 2012 Ford Championship Weekend

Seattle’s Summer Henry Received Surprise At Fan-Favorite Event

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Dec. 6, 2011) – To the surprise of attendees at the sold-out NASCAR After The Lap on December 1 in Las Vegas, Nev., Ford, a sponsor of the third annual event, randomly selected a fan to win a new Ford F-150 XLT truck valued at $29,000. Summer Henry, from Seattle, Washington, was the lucky fan who received the deluxe Ford vehicle and two tickets to the 2012 Ford Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

On her honeymoon, Henry and husband, Derek, were attending NASCAR After The Lap, a Ford and Coca-Cola sponsored NASCAR event, which is known for its unfiltered, “tell-all” commentary with the 2011 top-12 NASCAR Sprint Cup SeriesTM drivers.

Daytona 500® winner and Ford driver Trevor Bayne was on hand to randomly select 12 finalists and to select the winner from the finalists.

“This is the most amazing thing, and I can hardly believe it,” said Henry. “To first hear I had won tickets to Ford Championship Weekend was fantastic and then to have Trevor pull keys out while the F-150 rolled in was unbelievable. I’m still in disbelief and can’t wait to do this again next year.”
